trim back 2 more, which they did well. After the job was done I
noticed my wood clothesline post was a lot looser in the ground than it
was before the job. I had Terry come back to see about it because I
thought his crew was responsible. After about 20 minutes of
examination we found some fresh damage at the base of the post and Terry
and his son agreed it probably happened when they were dragging some of
the logs and loosened it. I agreed to buy the cement and he agreed to
come up in 2 days and re-secure the post. WELL, HE NEVER SHOWED/NEVER
CALLED. I called him at least 3 and Terry never let me know what was
going on. I ultimately had to hire some help to do it.
4 months later I saw Terry and he gave me excuses why he changed his
mind, why he didn't show up, etc. etc.
I will never recommend him to anybody, I've already recommended another
tree service, twice.
I CAN'T TRUST HIM!
I called him, and he gave me a quote the next day. He removed the tree the next week. He called me the day before coming as agreed. His crew showed up promptly at 8 am as promised, and they were finished less than 2 hours later. They removed an adjacent bird feeder, etc. before doing the work. They used mats to protect the lawn from heavy equipment (unlike previous contractors, where I had to reseed the lawn due to equipment damage). They had a very large 81 foot boom cherry picker that let them do the job with safety and ease. They chipped all the small pieces, and manually carried away the large logs to use for firewood that he sells. They thoroughly raked up all small sticks and pieces. Previous contractors on a couple of other past jobs have used tracked vehicles to grab and remove large logs. These gouge out pieces of lawn every time they pivot, and leave ruts. In one other case, I had to add top soil and re-seed my lawn. This did not happen with Terry.
They were very polite, professional, and easy to work with. I will likely use them again, if the need arises.
Owner is a bit abrasive and somewhat difficult to converse with. Arrived early (actually i bit too early) but that is way better than late in my book.
