My refrigerator was not cooling even though the freezer was fine. I have a French Door Whirlpool Gold with the freezer on the bottom. This was bought less than 3 years ago. Mr. Rodabaugh diagnosed the problem over the phone and told me this is a very common problem. He had the parts on hand without having to order them. He explained that this is a common problem.
He fully explained what he thought the problem was and what steps I could take to fix it myself. I chose to have him complete the work. He came on time and worked quickly. He also discovered that my drain hose was plugged.
He seemed fair and honest and it was worth the service fee call. Replacing the control board seemed easy enough and I could have ordered the part cheaper on the internet (and waited for delivery). However, I do not believe I would have found the drain issue and I would have wondered in the back of my mind if it was truly fixed.

As a sole proprietor with out any office support, you just have to call and leave a message. By the end of the day, Barry did get back to me and we were able to get his service two days later.

Excellent experience---as I knew it would be as I have used Barry for previous appliance repairs.
My stove had a propane leak right after my propane tank was filled--or maybe overfilled. Had the propane service company come and check out the lines and stove for leaks--with a "sniffer". The oven was leaking--not where just that it was leaking. Shut off the gas supply line to the stove.
Called Rodabaugh Appliance Service. Barry Rodabaugh was certain he knew what had happened. He had to locate and order a new safety valve. He told me that the valve would be expensive and the cost along with a service call. I told him to proceed and order the part. As soon as Barry had the part we set up a day and time.
Barry showed up at the time we agreed on and started in working on the stove.. He took the stove apart to access the safety valve. He used a leak detecting material to check all the connections behind the lower storage drawer. He found the safety valve was leaking. All other connections and piping were not leaking. Barry replaced the safety valve and put the stove back together. He then bled the air in the gas line and checked the oven and burners to make sure everything was working properly.

Barry Rodabaugh knows appliances and is an excellent professional service provider. He is very competent. He knows what needs to be done and does not waste time. Barry is very honest--I would allow Barry to work in my home if I was not able to be there when any work was being done. He is a 10+ on a 10 scale.
