Having worked with many contractors in the past, working with Wayne Day on this 2-car garage and breeze way project was a pleasure. During the winter of 2018-2019 with many days of bad weather our project came in on time and on budget. Best of all were Wayne Day's great ideas for improvements to our basic design due to his vast experience in home construction. This made our project more beautiful than was thought possible. In my next project there is only one person (company) I will call and that is Wayne Day Custom Builder.

Just hired this company to replace the shingles on my roof. After hiring them to finish my basement and them doing the excellent job with that - there was no hesitation hiring them again. They handled everything from permits - to providing the dumpster and materials. Wayne oversaw all the deliveries and ensured everything was delivered on time - and placed where needed. The workers showed up on time. The office kept me posted of anything unexpectedly found. Unexpected issues were dealt with seamlessly. The work was done quickly and completed in one day. They left the area spotless. Again, they are the only contractors I would have working on my house. Very reliable and professional - easy communication, expectations are again set ahead of time (and met).

Wayne and his team did an excellent job on this renovation. We could not be happier with the outcome. We appreciated the level of professionalism and knowledge he demonstrated throughout the project. There were many times that he offered innovative ideas that were effective, and also stayed within the range of our budget. We will definitly work with him again in the future!

My mother was moving into my already small home, and I needed to put an addition on (sitting room) the back of my house. I priced my project with about five different local contractors. I had hesitated to contact Wayne Day because I had heard he was expensive. First of all, construction is not cheap. I wasn't looking for cheap, however. I wanted a quality job that would last, and that is exactly what I received. And I was surprised, because I did not find his prices to be out of line with all the other quotes I received. I will not use anyone else, ever. The quality of the work, the courtesy, professionalism was all exemplary. After a few poor experiences with business in the area I was not looking forward to hiring or buying from anyone else. However the basement and laundry room needed to be finished. I knew of this company because of the many times I would pass the sign on Milford Rd. and from all the company trucks I would pass while out and about. I had a feel that this was an established and dependable company. I needed to hire someone I could count on to do a quality job, be able to smoothly handle any hiccups and who was committed to their work (actually showing up). I did want to hear excuses why work could not get done properly. This company met all the above expectations and I loved that I didn’t have to look over their shoulder. The owner was at my house every day to check on the progress of the work – he was hands on. The cost breakout in the contract was clear and precise. There were no hidden costs. The professional service I received was definitely worth the price. After dealing with other workers and businesses and dealing with WJD – this company would be the only company I will allow to work on my home in the future. As you see in the photos below the rooms were not completely finished at my request - but that does not in any way take away the quality of work that was completed.

Both jobs were done very professionally and to a very high standard. The builders were punctual, polite and communicated very well and clearly each step a long the way. They handled all the architect plans and getting planning permission from the township. The jobs were completed a head of time and we could not be happier. We will certainly be hiring Wayne Day again for our next project and have absolutely no problem with recommending them to friends and family.

We began working with Wayne after suffering a devastating loss.  Wayne handled the rebuild process with patience and honesty.  He worked with us when the budget went over the estimated amount due to unknown and unexpected issues.  They were quick to answer our questions and address concerns even after handing over the keys.  We highly recommend Wayne as he is an honest man who completes some of the work himself.  After handing over the keys to the house, Wayne went back to the house on his own time to fix a few minor things we noticed and to check on the house after a storm as he knew we where not there.

Our house had burned down during Super storm Sandy and we had to rebuild but were not sure what to do. We had looked at every modular home on the east coast and decided on one company in Pennsylvania. Wayne Day was the certified builder for this company and that is how we found him.

When it came time to remodel my outdated kitchen (so old cannot even put a date on it!) there was only one contractor to have return to my home, Wayne J. Another fantastic job from Wayne Day Contractors and his highly skilled carpenter, electrician, plumber and tile setter, Ed Martell! My bathroom circa 1970 was expertly transformed into an amazingly beautiful spa retreat! The marble and trim was installed to perfection which transformed me back to my hotel experience in France! Both Wayne and Ed understood my vision and implemented it to exactly what I dreamed my bathroom would look like. Wayne J Day Custom Builders were good. They were professional and responsive. They were timely.

Wayne Day and his two employees, Ed and Paul, did an excellent job. Considering how much was done, including the inevitable extra projects I thought up during the process, I think the cost was quite reasonable and fair. The windows, floors and new bathrooms look beautiful, and my non-local builder cousin was very impressed with the quality of the work evident in pictures I sent him.
The work produced a huge amount of sawdust and trash, but the clean-up job they did afterwards was quite thorough. It was clear to me from little details that these men, especially Ed, who did well over half of the work, take pride in making sure things are done right.
I had agreed at the beginning that in order to save money I would be the one to buy and deliver or have delivered most of the necessary materials, such as flooring, windows, appliances and other supplies as needed. There were a few times when a bit more foresight on their part might have saved me extra trips to Lowes and Home Depot, but this was not a major problem. In fact I sometimes enjoyed learning so much from being part of the process!
The only other minor complaint was that they tended to throw away the directions/manuals after installing things (stove hood, kitchen sink) but the internet helped me retrieve most of what I thought I needed here. I include these quibbles in order to give a balanced review, but they are far, far outweighed by my satisfaction with the quality of what was done.
In general I'm extremely pleased the their work, and how easy it was to get along with them and have my questions and concerns answered. This 25-year old house I had just bought in July, choosing this one mainly because of its private location next to acres of open space land. The house itself is fine but a lot of the windows, floors, trim and fittings inside were tired, generic and frankly, depressing!
But now, especially with all the sunlight and views opened up to the natural surroundings, plus the wood flooring and totally reworked bathrooms, kitchen and large, bright bedroom upstairs 'this old house' has a lot of new life in it, much more inviting to us than it was before Wayne and his men did the job they did. Wayne Day is an excellent contractor and did excellent workmanship. He would come in and give us a daily rundown as to what was going to be done that particular day and he was like a general contractor and we couldn't be happier. From the foundation up he did all of the work and he was excellent. He did a deck for us as well and the extension turned out great. He's one of the few contractors around the area that took care of all of the building permits and so he navigated us through all of that and we didn't have to worry about it. All the permits were in place and he took care of it all which was great. I would use him again without a doubt and I won't use anyone else.

He was very helpful and professional. I recommend him to anyone that needs a contractor. He does a great job. He pays attention to detail. He explains things well. He kept me updated.

We lost our home to fire just after Christmas in 2009. We hired Wayne J. Day to build our new home. He handled everything. He got all of the permits we needed, kept up informed every step of the way, and kept us within our budget. Wayne was great! He knew we didn't have much money on top of the insurance settlement so he was sure to remind us of our budget with every decision we made (and there are a lot of decisions to be made). How many contractors can you say that about? The house was finished right in the estimated time he gave. Now we have a beautiful brand new house bigger and better than the old one. I really can't say a single bad thing about our experience with him. I would, and have, recommend him to anyone building a new home or even doing a remodel or addition.
