The Country Painter

The Country Painter did a terrific job for a reasonable price in a reasonable amount of time. Jon carefully worked with us to match the historical colors. He worked fast, paid a great deal of attention to detail, was neat and cleaned up thoroughly. He removed 32 shutters, scraped, repaired, painted,and rehung them. Our house looks great. He did a five star job and is a five star guy!

He did a great job, and he was always timely and efficient. The job took about 3 weeks, and he was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.

Jon did an excellent job!  He showed up when he said he was going to which, in my experience, doesn't happen as often as it should in this area.  He was timely, friendly, professional , knowledgable and reasonably priced.  Total job took him 4 1/2 days, which is what he quoted us.  We would definitely use him again!

Jon is great to work with.  He is a true professional and a really nice guy!  We felt comfortable enough to give him full access to our home while we were away.  His work is outstanding.  He did all that he promised at a price that we thought was very reasonable. We've hired Jon again to do a couple of other rooms.  We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs painting.  He does indoor and outdoor.

Overall, John was a very pleasant mand and hard worker.  He arrived punctually, and like he told me when he walked through the door, that he did not just throw paint on the wall (he spackled, plastered, sanded) and that he does not use the cheapest paint (he uses Sherman Williams), one of the best.  After the initial consultation, I initially thought he was a bit pricey,but he broke everything down to my husband and myself and he broke the payments into stages.  We were so impressed with his knowledge, he decided to give him the opportunity to paint our house.  Well, let me tell you, you get what you pay for.  Jon went above and beyond our expectations.  I work from home and he worked around me.  He cleaned up after himself, he plastered the ceiling that had water damage from a minor flood, and he did such a spectaciular job that I cannot even tell where the water damage was.  He also made suggestions to my husband and myself, which I truly appreciated because we were a bit unsure of the color scheme.  He cleaned and prepared my deck and porch, replaced a spindle, painted the deck twice (it looks great by the way)!  The only hold up was the weather (rain).  He advised us regarding a coathook we had on the wall and even assisted in re-haning it..  He committed to a date and he finished by that time.  We were impressed with his knowledge, and he was a pleasure.  He was funny, and did a better job than I could ever do (I'm not a painter, all thumbs by the way) .  I would highly recommend John to any and everyone and I would use him again in a heartbeat.

The Country Painter was very good. He was reasonable and did a good job. He was very professional, very prompt, and cleaned up after himself very well.

They were terrible.  Our paint is peeling, he never honored warranty work, he didn't come back to finish the work and he demanded extra payments above the contract and then refused to finish.  We ended up taking him to court.  Not only would we not recommended him but we would tell others Buyer Beware.  The judged ruled in our favor but we only recovered a tiny fraction of the cost.  It is a brand new construction, one is not painted and the other one has paint that is peeling.

John is fantastic, trustworthy, and reliable. He said when he would arrive and provide check points along the way, which were all accurate we'd have him again.

He was very professional - got right to work and only took his lunch break. Jon is also very neat - he always cleaned up before his day ended. He even finished the job early.

I couldn't say enough good things about this painter. He's simply excellent. He came on time, was very professional and very particular about his work. This was a rather difficult job because of the high pitch of the ceiling, but he was certainly up to the task.
