Jim and his son were prompt, prepared, and thorough when we called for an inspection on a house we’d just purchased. Highly recommend.

I hired the company to clean my chimney on 12/6/19. They cleaned the chimney on the first floor in my house but did not unhook the boiler exhaust causing debris from the chimney to fall into the boiler. On 1/1/20 the boiler began to smoke really bad and I needed to shut the boiler with the emergency shut off button and call 911. The fire dept told me that I should be glad that I was home to catch the alarm on time. After the fire dept left and the boiler company came to check the boiler, they stated that there was wood debris in the boiler that was not there when they did the boiler maintenance before the chimney sweep. I informed the chimney company that I felt they should pay the boiler bill of $743.90 and I was told that the boss was away till March in Africa. Update: The company has addressed my concern and refunded a portion of the cost for the boiler bill.

11/9/19 Jim had cleaned our chimney in the Spring. Two weeks ago I noticed that the pipe leading out of the woodstove had become separated. I left a message for him and was given an appointment by his secretary. I never spoke to him. He arrived at our house hours before our scheduled appointment. I was not home but my wife was. He came into the house and without looking at the stove questioned whether we had bought the needed material. We had never been informed that we needed to do this. Again without looking at the stove he told my wife we needed a 7 inch elbow pipe. When she asked if once we had done this he could come back he stated we would need to contact his secretary as he did not know his schedule and left. Luckily we contacted a friend who is very knowledgeable and handy. First we discovered that in fact the pipe was 8 inches. More importantly he was able to take it apart and put it back to together without the need for a replacement. Now our house is warm again. It should also be noted that it is now 5 days later and Mr. Creegan has never followed up with us. I will leave it to you to decide if this is the type of service you are looking for.

Thought JC was dependable, on time, and knew what they were doing. Overall process was efficient, fast, and thorough. Only concern/complaint was the pricing seemed a bit steep ($180) for a chimney sweep that took less than 30min to complete... I had no extra cash to tip the guys, sorry.

He is a great guy knows his business!! Honest follows up and is knowledgable.

I was glad to have a quick response to my call. Other chimney sweeps don't reply to messages. The only reason I gave a 4.0 to quality is that when the vacuum was turned on, black dust flew into my living room. I don't know if there is a remedy for this.
