Originally, we hired him to put new shingles on the roof because of the 10% off coupon that he would not honor saying that it was not supposed to be one there and to this day it is still there. My wife and I paid $10,000.00 to redo the roof and we wanted him to put a proper pitched roof over the garage so he hired a bunch of subcontractors, although he says on his profile that he does not subcontract, to do the work and we were dissatisfied with it but my wife and I were at work when the work was done. We discussed a high pitched roof and it was lower. When we arrived home from work, the contractors were gone and he made the decision on his own to do the work he wanted without consulting with us at work. We also hired his company to drywall the ceilings and walls and we were satisfied with that. We then hired him to put new siding on the garage and add stone and the job turned out ok but the quality and the workmanship was not excellent.  I have had another contractor out for estimates to finish the work and he informed me that he did it wrong and rushed through it and he would have to completely redo it if he took the job. We also hired him to put in a timber frame entryway and deep into the project, it was to a point where he looked at me and said he did not know what he was doing and he has never done this and has to hire someone to help him. He hired someone else name Josh and he came out a couple of times but never did any work he stopped showing up because of the money left in the budget for the project. He then was supposed to find a second contractor, Sam, to do the work and he also stopped showing up. He told us he could and would do the job and he has been signing off on all the work and checks and he just walked away 3 weeks ago and left everything a mess and I have not heard from him. He has even gone as far to ask for us to personally loan him money that has not been returned and saying that this is terrible or horrid experience is an understatement.

Tried to put windows in that did not match the rest of the house. Have tan trim on house tried to put white on did not do good job flashing chimmey looks like crap the roof and siding did a good job did not do the work I paid him to do lots of short cut and not done right. I did this work for 25 years so I know the work no pride in what they do

Showed up on a timely manner everyday.  Was very professional when speaking and answered all questions. 
Cleanup could have been a little more thorough but overall was happy with the outcome.

I called and got an estimate for work, they installed about 2 weeks later. The job took about 4 hours. Labor was 650, materials 450. They did a great job, but I think the labor cost was high for 2 guys.

They answered their phone when I called.  Scheduled an appointment for a couple of days later.  Showed up on time and gave me an estimate.  They were able to do the work a few days later.  They showed up, did the work agreed upon and cleaned up after themselves.  They even covered our outdoor heat pump to be sure that it didn't get hit with any falling debris.  The bill was slightly less than the estimate.  Overall, a very good experience.  I would use them again in a heartbeat.

The job went very well, they worked very hard and listen to what the customer had to say. Its been thirty days with out a leak which is great. We would tell you to give them a chance.

We contacted Brett and he came the next day to give us a quote.  We compared his to three other quotes and his came in the lowest.  I  usually don't go with the lowest but his other reviews on Angie;s were so good we gave him a try.  They were great.  Worked in the rain, cleaned up after themselves and all in all did a beautiful job.  We  definitely recommend them.

Brett Smith, owner, had quoted us a price to remove roofing and install new.  He estimated there might be a few pieces of plywood sheeting that need replacing.  As the removal of the shingles and underlayment took place, it was evident there were bigger problems than first anticipated, through no fault of the contractor.  Prior to accepting his bid, he informed us there may be more bad sheets than anticipated, and there was no way to be sure until the old roofing was removed. The old roof was only 10 years old, and as Smitty and his workers removed the roofing, it was evident the previous contractor ripped us off big time.  He was suppose to replace old sheeting, and only replaced a few sheets (the previous roofer).  Brett and I discovered nearly 25 plywood sheets that needed replaced due to rotting (previous roofer did not vent the roof either)!
Brett & I had agreed to extra pricing for this prior to him starting the job.  Obviously, you don't know what you can't see. Brett got me on the roof so I could see the damage, and I was in disbelief what the previous roofer had done to us.  The current job had been estimated to take 3 days, but because of all the hidden problems (bad sheeting, some broken rafters, bowed rafters) it took he and his crew 4 days.  Only one extra day for all that extra work!  They worked dawn to dusk, and I mean worked.  They did not fool around at all, which impressed me more than anything. He has a great crew! I was kept informed throughout the entire process, and they were very professional and courteous.
Smitty installed architectural shingles, properly vented the roof, and did many other extra things to insure the roof would be solid, aesthetic, and built to last a long time.  To say I am happy with the finished job is really an understatement.  My wife is very happy too, and that says a lot, trust me!  I did not know Brett Smith before he stopped by to give me an estimate, but I took a chance based on my feelings about his character after going over the estimate. I had also seen his work on a neighbor's house.  We had gotten three estimates for the roofing job, and Smitty's estimate was best by far.
I recommend Smitty's Roofing and General Contracting to anyone considering them for a contract.  Brett Smith is up front, honest, and keeps you informed. He does good work, is prompt, and has the best prices.

I called Brett Smith the owner of Smitty's Roofing and General Contracting for an estimate to shingle my family's roof and provide vinyl siding.  He scheduled a time to come over and give me a free estimate that accommodated my very busy schedule.  Within 20 minutes he had everything measured and wrote down to give me an idea of what material and labor would cost me.  I reviewed it all and called him back asking when he could get started.  Brett told me of his availability which was within a two week time frame.  All material was delivered prior to his arrival.  Brett estimated 3 days worth of labor to have my roof and siding completed and his timing was dead on.  I was beyond pleased with the results.
