Sears

Sears cancelled installation a few days after order completed. NO explanation or apology! Picked up item at Sears but may return due to problems getting another installer.

They delivered and took away the old stuff.

Sears has no record of us buying it and my husband cannot find the paperwork. We have had to buy parts for it. We have had to have the computer replaced once or twice. My husband had to write to the corporate office in order to get Sears to share the cost of replacing the computer. It was just four years old and our service contract had ended. Then someone came out after Sears denied that they had sold us the range. They took it out and re-installed it because apparently there was a problem with installation. In doing so, he cracked the stove. When he reinstalled it, he left a big gap between the back of the stove and the counter top. The range was $1500 at that price I should have had 10 years of no problem. Someone from sears is coming to install something that will make it so that the range can be started without a match. That is going to cost $200.

We had a hard time.  I think they sent the wrong part initially and our dryer was down for four or five weeks.

They then gave us a $75 coupon for the inconvenience.

Overall I was satisfied.

They were great.

Their biggest problem is not showing up when they promise multiple times.

They did an adequate job but it was difficult dealing with them. The job was supposed to be completed within 2 weeks, but it was stretched out for 3 months.  There was a lot of difficulty in getting the correct parts and trying to communicate with them as to when they’d finish the job. They never returned our calls. The technicians who they sub-contracted out were terrific, responsive, and professional. They even became frustrated. If we had a problem, they came out right away and once the job was complete, they cleaned up well.
