Interior Painting

NOT WELL. Walls had lots of glue residue that, if walls had been properly washed enough, would have dissolved. Joe sanded, but said that he couldn't get a lot of glue off and that there was not much else he could do to make the walls look better. He suggested using a flat paint to hide imperfections, and thought it wouldn't look terrible. Well, it looked awful. The glue bled thru the paint, and left what looked like faded drip marks all over the walls. Joe brought a paint salesman in from the paint supply company to assess the job he suggested re-sanding and told Joe to use another heavier primer over the paint and then re-paint. It turned out worse than originally! We had to bring in another painter, who was appalled at what Joe had done, and remedied the situation easily with an oil primer and skim coating new paint and now. NO ugly marks or glue at all. The new painter said this was a no-brainer and that Joe should have done what he did from the beginning.
