Creative Landscapes

For the past 30 years we have planted annuals and truly enjoyed the pleasure of the beautiful colors it brought us all summer long.  However, the time has come that my husband and I are working towards a maintenance free home and decided that we wanted a perennial garden instead of annual flowers.  We called Creative Landscapes for an opinion on a Friday and never thought we would hear from them until about mid week of the following week.  Not true, we heard from Andrew just that Sunday night.  I knew right away I liked him.
Before our appointment, Andrew had us complete and online questionnaire of our likes and dislikes so that he could get an idea of what we were looking for, the colors we liked, the plants we liked, etc.  Andrew came out to the house and surveyed our existing plantings and gave us an opinion on what was needed.  He told us why we were having trouble with certain trees and bushes and made recommendations.  In order to preserve what we already had, he worked with us and made recommendations of how to rearrange some of the bushes so that they would thrive better and look more aesthetically pleasing.  
When it came to designing the perennial garden, Andrew and I worked together to agree on flower choices, colors what would work and what wouldn't work in the area.  I left the actual design and placement of the flowers up to him.  The end product was magnificent!  We couldn't be happier.  But it didn't stop there....along the way, Andrew gave us detailed instructions both verbally and in writing on the proper watering, fertilization and maintenance of the project.  Each day the work site was cleaned up to the point you couldn't tell they were there.  
Both Andrew and his installer were easy to work with, professional, neat, and extremely knowledgeable.   You can tell they take pride in their work.  I would not hesitate to give them a glowing recommendation.

Creative Landscapes did a wonderful job of completely updating our homes foundation and poolside plantings.  Andrew and his team were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The plan that Andrew developed (after meeting with us to determine our likes and dislikes) was beautiful and much more interesting and colorful than we could have created on our own.  Steve and Mike (his install team) were warm, professional and very hardworking. It was a fairly large job and completed during a very busy time of year in the time frame we requested. I highly recommend Creative Landscapes

It went very well. Very professional, guided home owner through all steps. From stone, to each plant. During installation, every night site was clean, and put away. After compleation, all instructions were very good, and in writing. When finished owner spent time with home owner to make sure every thing was compleated, and home owner was happy.
Employees were vere nice and clean, took care of every thing. Took time out to answer questions. There were no problems.
I would recommend very highly. Will not hesitate to hire in future, when needs arise.

Andrew consulted me about what I liked in a garden and drew up a plan with some of these species and ideas included. A problem for me occurred when a scheduled hour meeting to discuss his proposed plan went a bit over an hour because we discussed some additional work, and Andrew charged an additional $100, which was completely unexpected. Despite discussing the situation later, we were unable to resolve the situation. He was strongly resistant to planting the bed without bark mulch as I requested, so I acquiesced to using it. I asked that the planting not be done until fall to save watering to which he reluctantly agreed. He did me a kindness by baby sitting a tree that was to be transplanted. In the fall, he was right on schedule, though he did not have several of the species in the plan and offered others instead, though without information that was provided for the initial species. Not all of the plants were great specimens, despite the long lead time, but this may not prove a problem come spring. His crew did the planting quickly and well in a few days. Finally, Andrew provided good information about how and when to water the plants and provided a moisture meter to check the soil. As to whether I would use him again in the future, I am not sure is a more accurate answer than the two choices offered but I was not able to choose that.
