This company is very poorly ran. Owner is very unprofessional and tech was very inexperienced.

Their price is not more expensive than any other. I think they did good work.

We do have a yearly maintenance plan.  Not sure what the cost is.  They were prompt, did very detailed job, professional and courteous.

I called them this morning (11/18/14) to fix our heater. We have no heat and I called them to come fix it. The office attendant told me that I was unhappy with the service call, and gave me a long story about how we have been negligent with maintaining our system. They said they would come out and take a look at the issue, despite the past issues, which they continued to bring up. The office guy insinuated that I was not going to pay him for this visit. They are not going to do this service for me, and I don't think I will use them again. There is a mistrust going on between us.

They are very reliable and do high quality work.

It was a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this company. They said one thing, did another, and charged me extra money.
I purchased a tune up package from angies list. The day the company came out to do the tune up there was work being done near the heater. The worker said they could come back another time for no extra charge. Cool it came back again, but this time I wasn't home and they manipulated and tricked my wife into paying for more services and tried to pressure us to spend a few thousand dollars that were unnecessary.
We did not buy all the expensive repairs that they recommended, but they charged us over $100 for a diagnostic and wouldn't allow us to apply the cost of the tune up towards the diagnostic.
I called back to ask for a refund of the money for the tune up since i paid them for a diagnostic. They said that money wasn't going to be refunded.
Do not use this company for any services.

They were actually working at a neighbor's when I got their #. My neighbors were very pleased. I called the company after 7pm and expected to leave a message on voice mail (which I did). I received a call back within 1/2 hour and set up an appointment in 2 days. Ron came in and gave a presentation that was very professional. Explained every question we had on our level, so we learned alot in the process. He then took measurements and worked up a price while he was still there. There was no I'll get back to you in a few days or a week. We thought the price was reasonable, so the work started the following week. The installers were very professional also. Clean - at least when they arrived. They did their work. They cleaned up after themselves each day they were here (a total of 3 days). We've had the system in for just over a month and it keeps the house just right - cool and comfortable. No complaints. Can't comment on the heating part of the system yet, as of course, we haven't had to use it yet, although they did test it while they were here. I would definitely recommend Ron and his company to everyone in need of a cooling/heating system. There was no pressure in the sale and everyone from Cool it that we had contact with were polite and courteous

I purchased one of Angie's promotions for $49 for the oil service. The way it was written up, it was not clear what was covered in the promotion. I called the Cool It and asked it the oil nozzle and oil filter would be included in the service program and they confirmed that it would. So I signed up.
On the day of the service, the tech arrived 1 hour outside of the window they said he would arrive. Shortly after arriving, he called me downstairs and informed me that the coupon only applied to gas furnaces, not oil....and that the price would be $149 instead. I asked him to leave, and called Cool It, and was forced to leave a message because no one answered the phone. The service tech came back about 10 minutes later and put me on the phone with their dispatcher I think. He informed me there was a miscommunication and that really frosted me. But, he said he would honor the coupon in any event. Went ahead with the service call and the Tech was very friendly and helpful. I felt sorry he was caught up in the situation since he was new with the firm and was shocked at the transaction.
The work was performed partly ok. He checked CO and soot in the exhaust. I asked him to take off the exhaust duct and vacuum it out, but he said he couldn't because he didn't have a vacuum on the truck. I also had a catch bowl under the oil filter to catch any oil during the removal of the filter for changing. It had about 3/4 inch of oil in it and he was going to leave without cleaning it out. I had to give him some paper towels to sop it up. All that oil would have evaporated eventually into the house, which is not healthy.
I did end up with the furnace serviced, but he process left a lot to be desired. Based on past feedback, I suspect this is a reputable firm, but I would caution users to watch what they do and make sure they are getting industry standard service.

We called on 5/28/2013 at 5p.m. and they scheduled service for the next day. The technician called a half hour before he came. When he arrived he diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. We were every happy with the service and will recommend them to others.

I initially called for an estimate, and scheduled an appointment. The salesman was very nice. We decided that he would call back in two weeks. I had to call back three weeks later since I never received a call back. A second meeting was scheduled, and during this meeting, the salesman brought no paperwork or proposal. It just seemed very unprofessional, to create a proposal on the spot, almost like it was our first meeting.

The technician was very nice and professional and spent a lot of time trying to figure out if there was a leak. I had the unit installed in 2006 by a man who added freon in 2010 and advised he thought there was a small leak so I wanted a second opinion. The tech decided there was a leak and offered to fix it at a cost of TBD but I decided to call the original guy and have him fix it since it should still be under warranty. I will not use Glenn Kerstetter (the original person) as he fixed it but charged me again for freon but will use Cool It if I have a problem in the future.

Great job from start to finish. They made a lot of promises and kept them all. Clean, courteous, on time and on budget.

The guy who showed up seemed completely disinterested, which I found fascinating because I was buying the most expensive system that he sold. Anyway, his and quot;quoteand quot; arrived later that afternoon. One scanned page, no model numbers beyond the air conditioner, and I'm pretty sure that was incorrect. No information on what I would be buying or why I should consider the brand he was proposing to be superior to any other choices that I might have, which was fascinating because we never even discussed brands. And the best part - his and quot;quoteand quot; was 40% higher than competing bids for the EXACT same equipment. (At least I think it is, because again, no model numbers were considered necessary on the estimate. But of course, you can figure them out from the Carrier website, so I'm being facetious.)
Oh yeah, they're not even an authorized dealer for the equipment that he quoted, which again wasn't considered necessary of a mention. The only brand that I can find with which they're associated is Amana, which is generally at the lower-end of the price range and rated very poorly.
What I'm wondering is why the guy bothered to show up at all? I told them what I wanted on the phone? If you're going to submit something that's ridiculous, why bother?

Very good, very courteous work men who wore covering over shoes in house. Closed opening with metal in wall and cleaned up all areas.

The two Cool It professionals arrived on time, took every precaution to keep our home clean and completed the installation in 6 hours. They were very pleasant to talk too and answered all questions. All worked very well.

My central air system shut down over the weekend during summer heat wave. I used Cool-it before in a similar situation two years ago. The service was impeccable in both cases! Fast response time, courteous and knowledgable. The technician who responded today (Jason) explained his findings in detail and presented options honestly. He had my system running again in 10-15 minutes. I could not have asked for better service and highly recommend this company for any of your HVAC needs. My system is old and will need to be replaced soon. Cool-it will be at the top of my list for future estimates.

I called Cool It when my central a/c unit refused to start on a summer Saturday with a 100+ degree heat index. Chrissy returned my call right away. After I explained the problem, she talked about pricing and asked me about how I intended to pay for the service call. I was surprised by how interested she was in collecting payment before even offering a service time. When I asked about scheduling, she said she would contact her drivers and call me right back to let me know. I never heard from her again.

I originally called this company for routine annual service for my HVAC (2 units and to have an estimate provided for a hot water heater and new HVAC unit for an addition). The first time they came out the service man was very professional. Serviced my unit and then spent 30 min trying to sell me products and upgrades. I appreciated his time but don't have the time nor want to hear a sales pitch. The next day we came home to the heater not working. Apparently he knocked a wire off for the fan during the service. He was very apologetic and I understand these things can happen. He was came on a saturday to fix the problem. In the spring we turned on the AC for the first time, and came down to a flood in our basement. The condensate pump had burned out and all the water was pooling in the basement. This was the first time the AC was used since the unit was serviced. I called them to come out and they came the next day. Again, the service man was very professional. I showed him the pump that was not working and he said he had one in the truck. I was charged 99$ for a diagnostic fee (which I told him the problem) and then a flat fee of around 300-350 to replace a pump that costs $50 on the internet. I am in the process of having my basement finished. My contractor took one look at the new pump and suggested that the pump be connected to the units so that in the event of the pump not working, the units shut off so the basement is not flooded. I called the company and asked why I wasn't given this option and why that was not addressed. The manager/owner? told me that they were swamped with calls and probably too busy. I'm sorry, but that is no excuse. My husband and I are both physicians and that excuse is unacceptable. He also told me that I actually needed two pumps. Again, never addressed. I feel that this company pushes the sales pitch too hard, and does not listen to the needs of the customer. I never did receive the estimate for the hot water heater, but I did get an estimate for air filters and UV lights that I don't even want.

When I called, they responded immediately. They sent somebody out to look at our home. They seemed good. They are a little less expensive than the other company we used. We ended up using the other company because they already did a previous job for us.
