- Dan seems very honest and straightforward about potential problems in the house.
- Dan went above and beyond to give us advice about potential entry points of water that could be causing the water and mold in the basement beyond what we asked.
- Dan spent a lot of time patiently explaining these things to us.
- Dan squeezed us in to an already booked schedule because of time concerns.
- Dan did a thorough job.
- Dan did not charge us for things he did not do or unnecessary fixes. This is a big plus for me.
CON's:
- Dan did show up unannounced several times, however, I can't fault him too much for this because he was trying to fit in helping us on top of his already-packed schedule and he stopped by after working on our neighbor's house that was right nearby.
- My wife felt the overall price could have been lower maybe through another provider.
Overall, Dan's straightforward approach, trustworthiness and quality work stand out.
"The [member name removed]'s have a beautiful, almost new home and our experience working with Mrs. [member name removed] was wonderful. She was very accommodating in working with our work schedule as we were also working with two other homeowners that had flooded homes in White Rock Acres at this time, too. Her young puppy was fun too."
"We thank [member name removed] for calling us to perform his brick replacement repairs. Due to weathering, brick age and availability it is not always possible to get a perfect brick color match but we always strive to procure the closet match that is available."
"We thank [member name removed] for her review or our services. We do wish to correct her statement that we did not use drop cloths. Each day during the process we set down heavy duty painters cloths and sanded with a large hepa filtered shop vac. We shook the drop cloths outside after each day and set them back down when we returned the next day. After all sanding we use the hepa filtered shop vac each day in both of her bathrooms and closed the doors to prevent dust migration. In addition to the quoted job price after we had framed up the 4 square foot holes in both bathrooms, she asked if we could fix the ceiling where her son had cut out a hole for an exhaust fan but it was larger than the fan by about 1/2". We fixed that at no additional cost to her. Also she asked if we could fix a problem crack radiating about 30" from the exhaust fan hole that probably was a result of her son working in the attic to install the exhaust fan. We worked in her attic to install cross bracing between the rafters so that the drywall could be refastened solidly. Then we repaired the crack.. We worked in the attic with outside temperatures in the high 90's and high humidity for almost an hour to remove the insulation and fix the problem from above. We then reinstalled the insulation. We spent almost 3 additional man hours with two people to fix the problems in the attic, on the ceiling below and around the exhaust fan For this extra work we did not prepare and addendum to the project or charge her beyond the original quote. We often do extras for our customers as we did in this case for no additional cost even though we had additional material and labor hours. I was very surprised by the "B" rating since she was pleased when we finished the project and left her home. Our aim is 100% plus satisfaction but there can be some "tough graders" out there. That is why we try to go the extra mile."
