It went very well. The contractor arrived on time. They were very courteous and polite. They sought our input during the job. They demonstrated proficiency and knowledge with regard to their task. When job was completed the team cleaned the debris and the site well in excess of our expectation. The job cost matched exactly the value that was cited during the on-site estimate. We are very satisfied and would hire again. We would recommend this contractor to others requiring similar services.

Darwin fell 35 Pine Trees for my Grandmother. As you can imagine, 40ft Pine Trees include a lot of pine needles. Grandma was most impressed with the cleanup afterward, stating it looks like Grandpa just mowed the grass. What impressed me the most, Darwin was willing to haul the chips and trunk logs to my house for use in mulching and firewood. Because I am a neighbor to my Grandma, this actually was able to save Grandma some money as well! I've used Darwin for various risky tree fellings, specifically when the tree is leaning towards my house. I'd recommend Darwin.

I live in a woody parcel of land, with various tall hard woods. I complete most of my tree removals myself; however, when trees are leaning towards my house, I contract Darwin. One of Darwin's strongest attributes is listening to preferences. I burn firewood, so leaves all the trunk wood for me to section myself and also keeps my costs within my budget. Frequently, Darwin has suggested alternative options that either have reduce the cost or have a more appealing appearance. I have had him do work for my 80- year old grandma, removing over 35 pine trees. He is always prompt, polite and a quick worker.

Estimate was provided within a day or two of calling. Work was performed about 2 days after calling to accept the estimate. The crew was professional and did an excellent job leaving yard clean of all debris.

Darwin and his team were great to work with. Arrived on schedule and work was done with safety first. I was impressed with Darwin's skill and how quick the work was completed.

Wonderfully.  Darwin and his crew were here on time, went to work immediately doing the smaller items first, saving the fir tree until last.  All materials were cut and hauled away or made into mulch on the spot.  All particles, dust, etc. were cleaned up.  A few days later the person came to remove the stump which was not only large but starting to raise the driveway.

Darwin came over on March 31st and gave us a reasonable price which we accepted.   He came the next morning and removed the tree and all the mess.   The stump grinder will follow in about a week.  

He showed up with the right equipment.  He was able to drop the tree around power lines with no incidents.  He took the extra steps to cut up the trunk into manageable sizes so we could do the cleanup ourselves and salvage the wood.

My husband approched them in our neighborhood and the next day our tree was gone.

Tree was trimmed, everything cleaned up, difficult location to do the trimming without damaging the neighbor's house with large branches being trimmed.
Previously used Susquehanna Valley Tree Service earlier in May to cut two very large trees down that were growing at the edge of a small two lane road.  The Township contacted us to advise that they had to be cut down as they had become a potential hazard.  Darwin had to co-ordinate with the township to close the road while the trees were being cut down.  They did the work exactly when scheduled and to our complete satisfaction.

The property line was close and steep, so climbed the trees and cut them down in sections. Brought a chipper and removed all. Lawn was cleaned up and left in perfect condition.

The price wasn't too bad. The gentleman was well versed in his craft.

They came when they were supposed to but didn't finish right away because there was icy storm at that & they to help out with that so we had an interruption with service but still would use them again.

They work went well, I was very pleased.

I had a very fast response.  Their rates are very reasonable.  I like the fact that they clean up.  When they come and take a tree down everything is gone, twig, leaves and brush.  They've been here 3 times.  I first used them when I had snow storm in October where I had leaves on the trees that had lost a lot of branches.  I was very happy with the price.  Overall, they were awesome.  I like their timeliness too.  They always return one's phone call within the same day that they call.

The three large old and tall (approx. 80 ft) oak trees were located between the sidewalk and street. They had overgrown the sidewalk/curb, were leaning toward the house (located only 20 feet away) and one tree was directly over a sewer drain on a busy street corner. After township approval was obtained, I contacted several tree services for estimates. Susquehanna was not only among the lowest bids but also agreed to fit me into their tight schedule within two weeks. The other tree services would not even fit me in for 2-3 months (due to extensive damage from the freak October snowstorm). The owner is very knowledgeable and also works with his crew and supervises the job directly. They came with adequate equipment/trucks/cranes and got the trees down in one day without any major damage. They returned two days later (in drizzle) to grind down the stumps. There was some minor damage to the lawn (fallen branched created holes) and they returned a week later to fill them in. They took down a stop sign and another sign. The stop sign was put back but the other sign was a problem (leaning). I had to call them to return and get it placed upright but they apologized due to their heavy schedule which was understandable. The owner and workers were very responsive to any requests/questions. Overall, an excellent job done under some very extraordinary circumstances.

It was not to my satisfaction.  They did quote us a very low price.  My husband was the one that talked to him so I'm not sure if he communicated completely with him.  While they were trimming the branches, they had to leave and I also had to leave.  When I came back it wasn't complete, half the tree wasn't even done but they had left.  They did come back later and did the remaining work but it wasn't what I was hoping to get.  They had a low price but I guess I would say you get what you pay for.  They didn't come out on the day they said they were going to come and we didn't hear from them.  They did end up coming out but it was three weeks later after we called them.  They did come finally on the day they said they were coming and they did come on time.

They have come out twice for us. They are quick and reasonably priced. They are responsive. Darwin runs the business and he does all of the quotes and looks at the trees. He has a team that comes out to do the work. They are insured and bonded and they approach everything with safety first. We've never had an issue with them dropping anything on the house. He knows his trees and he is an arborist so he knows the best way to trim them. I trust that he knows what he is doing and it is not just going in and doing the work. The quote was $500, which seemed a little high but I don't know because we haven't had any other quotes done. We found him to be much more reasonable the first two times we had him do work.
