 + -1 moreAt first we thought it was only a "ding" repair but closer look showed that the windshield had cracked to the edge and replacement was necessary. Safelite handled all the insurance paperwork, ordered the glass, and had it installed by days end. All I paid was my insurance deductable.

Description of Work: Replaced shattered windshield. This was a complex windshield with electronics embedded in it, and safe lite installed it just right. Insurer paid all but $50 of the cost, so I don't know exactly what they charged

Description of Work: Repair of windshield chip which was paid by insurance. They helped to contact my insurance and initiate claim (I went directly to the shop after rock struck windshield). Unfortunately, the repair could not be made invisible because the ding was quite deep.

They offered to check for additional insurance discounts, or help to set up an insurance claim. Made an appointment for that afternoon. Received confirmation of the quote and job # via email shortly after the call. Repair took 25 minutes. Very easy and streamlined process - and they guaranteed the repair.

 + -1 moreI took the vehicle to them and it was repaired within two hours. I test drove it at high speeds yesterday. I am very happy with the results. They gave an estimated time of completion and they were right on time.
Description of Work: The windshield of my Honda Element was broken by flying debris on the highway. Angie's list recommended Cindy Rowe aka Safelite. I obtained an estimate and it was higher than my deductible of $250.00 so I reported the claim to my insurance company. They in turn recommended Cindy Rowe aka Safelite, not knowing that I already had an estimate. .

I had a crack in my windshield and I called them for service. this was our conversation. and quot;I have a crack in my windshield I would like to get fixed.and quot; and quot;is it on the driver or passenger side?and quot; and quot;um, driverand quot; (it was in the middle slightly towards the driver side) and quot;is it bigger than a quarter?and quot; and quot;um, yeahand quot; and quot;we have to replace your windshieldand quot; I appreciate that the tech was trying to and quot;cut to the chaseand quot; so to speak, but he incorrectly pigeonholed my problem in 30 seconds. I don't know that the rules would preclude my crack from being repaired as it was practically in the middle and not in the driver's field of view. Also, I was not a Pennsylvania resident at the time and the car was not registered in PA, so I don't know if those rules would have applied to my car. I guess we could have found out if the person on the phone didn't try to diagnose my problem in 20 words or less.

 + -1 moreThey fixed it. My only problem was that my insurance (State Farm) didn't cover it. Most policies waive th deductable for this repair, but State far is one that does not. I asked Cindy Rowe which companies gnerally do cover this and/or which ones do not, but they declined to answer. They did the work ok, but were not too informative...

 + -1 moreMy insurance covered the charges. I liked that they handled it quickly, cleanly and professionally. I had one issue with them. There was not a comfortable enough waiting room. I took a walk and they even had seats and television, but they didn’t have internet access. I would use their services in the future too.
