I went down into our garage on Friday noon, January 22, to find the sewer line to the street had backed up and drainage water was seeping up through the pipe into our garage- YUCK!  I am giving the date because the East Coast "Storm of the Century" Snowzilla storm was predicted to start that afternoon (and it did. 28 inches.)  I called a plumber in our town that we had used before and they said that they were busy until the following Wednesday. Eeeek!   I thought we were going to have to sit through the blizzard without running water until I noticed Mr. Rooter was in the next town over and gave them a call.  The receptionist was very friendly and professional and checked to find out that they could send someone to work on our situation in 45 minutes. Happy dance!  Mike was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and was able to get the clog in our line cleared in less than an hour. My husband and I were very impressed and very thankful to have running water again before the big snowstorm.  I would be happy to call Mr. Rooter again for any of their services and to recommend them to others.

Good work performed. On time and knowledgable. A little expensive but I wasn't able to complete the work myself and needed their help. Worked perfect after work was done.

Our sewer line was backed up, maybe due to tree roots? He arrived quickly and cleaned out the line. It took maybe an hour and afterwards it drained.

Both my neighbors home and mine was experiencing a sewer backup.  I called the City Of York out.  They ran a high pressure cleaner in their main sewer pipe but that did nothing.  City told me to call a plumber, I was also told that my house and our neighbor's house joins together into one pipe before it reaches the city line.  Ed K. cleared the main line and almost all of my drains worked again but I found out after he had left that my basement drain was not working.  I called the main number and Ed's cell phone to let them know I still had an issue.  Ed K returned Sunday morning to run a snake in my basement.  It would have saved him a trip had he ran the snake in the basement Saturday before he started outside like I suggested.  Overall it was a good experience and Ed was knowledgeable.  He gave me advice on how to better care for my drains.  No more baby wipes or anything that is not toilet paper.  Also showed me rocks and other stuff in the main trap, suggested I clean it out with a shop vac.  I think $259.00 was too expensive but they did take the call on Saturday and Ed K. told me by the time he reached my house he had already worked 16 hours.  I'm glad he had to come back and run the line in my basement on Sunday because it made me feel like I received a more complete service that way.  No my neighbor did not help pay since it was our baby wipes, we have kids they do not.  At least it didn't cause damage to their home.

Our sewage pipe was blocked with tree roots and overflowing into our basement. We called on Monday morning and they arrived a couple hours later. The tech checked our basement, and then used our outside access to clear the pipe. I think he was here about 45 minutes. Water was flowing correctly and he left.

Response from Mr Rooter Plumbing of Central PA
"In response to the member's concern, the first call was to fix a leak at the toilet. We replaced the emergency shut-off valve on the supply line to the toilet. We tested it thoroughly and everything was working properly. We accepted the $40 coupon from the customer. The customer called a few days later to say she had another leak. We responded and found the supply line leaking. We replaced the old supply line and tested it thoroughly. The task of replacing the supply line was priced at a deep discount of $67.00. The $67.00 price represents our rate as if we had replaced the supply line at the same time as the emergency shut-off valve. During the original task to replace the emergency shut-off valve, the member utilized the $40.00 discount magnet she had from us as a previous customer. Since the second task was priced at a reduced rate equal to an additional task performed during the initial visit, a further use of the $40.00 discount was not accepted by our plumber. The discount magnet is to be used one time on tasks performed. To accept the discount magnet a second time for this deeply reduced rate of $67.00 would have left our plumbing technician with a $20.00 fee. During this second visit for the new leak on the same toilet, we decided to acquiesce with our customer and repair the new problem as if we should have recognized the possibility of a future leak where the supply line connected to the water tank. We feel our pricing is fair for the work performed, and we are saddened by the member's response. Up until this time, she had been a repeat customer, and had used our services for both her plumbing and emergency pumping needs, as she did in April of this year when the flooding caused the sewer system to back up in her basement. We responded to her emergency situation after hours as quickly as possible with one of our septic trucks to pump out the flood waters from her basement to try and prevent serious damage to her property, as we would do for any one of our valued customers. It went Very Well overall. The septic tank was overflowing and neither I nor Mr. Rooter had any idea of the cause since everyting is underground and no records of the system are available. Personelle from Mr. Rooter diagnosed the problem correctly by drawing on thier knowledge of septic systems and their failures. They sucessfully corrected the problem by sending a high pressure water jet into the clogged pipe, followed by addition of beneficial bacteria. The overall cost was less than the sewer authority would have charged just to inspect the system and issue permits for work. and quot;Mr. Rooterand quot; may be a franchise name, but the man who came to my house was the owner of the company. He returned all my calls promptly and his crew was always on time. His crew was also a bunch of great guys you'd be glad to sit down and have a cup of coffee with. Yes, I'd call them again.
Note that 'Mr. Rooter' may be a franchise, i'm not sure. The company I dealt with is Associated Products, Mechanicsburg, PA

The tech arrived at promised time. After explaining the slow draining and flushing problem the tech ran and flushed all bathroom drains and toilets. He decided to use a power cable machine to open up the slow drains and to use an auger on the toilets. He gave me prices before performing any services. After using the the power cable machine the drains worked perfectly. He did decide though that the toilets were old and may need replacing. He was very helpful and explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. He also provided recommendations on types of toilets I should be looking at. I would defintely have Darryl back again if needed.

These guys managed to show me the problem, explain it, and fix it right in less time than the previous contractor took to do it wrong. Mike from Mr. Rooter is a knowledgeable professional who was able to root out my sewer line in about and hour, tell me the specific workings and construction of my sewer system, and provide a video camera view of the entire line. This guy was great and four months later all is well with the work performed.

The diagnosis of an old underground system is difficult, but they used there experience and expertise to fix the problem with the least invasive and most cost efficient methods. The crew was courteous and respectful or our property. The service was performed over several weeks, and Associated Products offered to empty our septic tank so it could be in service over a holiday weekend, until work could be finished. This offer was completely unexpected and only made to convenience us and not to add to the companies charges in any way. During an unannounced visit to the Associated Products office, I overheard Mr. Nelson compliment one of his crews on a job well done. An indication of the spirit and overall personality of Associated Products. They could have told me anything was necessary to correct our problem, but offered all options, from least costly to most elaborate
