It went good. I waited in the waiting room for the car. I always wait. I like the fact that I can easily schedule an appointment online. They do the work. They are going through remodelling right now so things are a little topsy-turvy there at the waiting area but I’m sure that once it’s done, it’s going to be nice and comfortable. They are not as friendly though.

They repaired the problem quickly - despite Hurricane Sandy impacting the area at the time, they had my truck repaired in two days.
When they discovered an additional problem that was not included in the original quote, Amber contacted me immediately, explained the issue, and offered to waive the labor costs associated with the second issue. Additionally, they offered a 10% military discount.
This is a professional outfit that provides excellent customer service at a very fair price. Amber is knowledgeable, professional and a joy to work with. A job well done.

Took car in for steering issues, I waited. Wait was just about an hour and they came out to discuss their findings. We scheduled when I would bring the car back for service and the service was performed well when I returned. Their Service Manager was very professional and helpful. They kept good track of any service that my car needed.

My last visit was for an oil change. I like everything about them, especially their service and attitude. Their quality of work and professionalism are good. This is the only provider I use for auto service. I would continue to use them in the future.

After putting $100 deposit on the car, we arranged our financing and set a date to close the deal and pick up the car. When we were presented with the final total due, it was over $800 more than what we had estimated (based on agreed-upon trade-in, cost of car, taxes and title transfer). When we asked why it was so much more, we were told that there were additional costs as follows: (1) an etching of an ID number on the car to prevent theft ($279) and (2) paint/fabrication ($299). This was the first time we had heard of these extra costs, which we were then told were "optional". When we said we did not authorize these extras, we asked several times for a copy of the financial sheet to understand the total cost so we could assess if there were any other issues. We were told we could sit down with the "finance" person to review all the numbers. After waiting approximately 45 minutes, during which time we viewed the "finance" person in his office typing on his keyboard, making phone calls, and at one point disappearing from his desk for approximately 10 minutes, he came out with the paper; there was no introduction, no explanation for the delay nor any apology to us, the customer, for having to wait. He reviewed the numbers, which were very close to our estimate, but he had neglected to deduct the $100 down payment we had given them the previous week. We told the salesman and the "finance" person we were going to talk it over and would let them know the following day. We were uncomfortable with the fact that these additional charges were added to the sale of our car without any prior notification. Had we not already estimated everything prior to our going to the dealer, it would not have been as obvious to us that there were additional charges. Fortunately, we were aware of the approximate total due within $50 or so (the variable being the cost of title and tag transfer). When we said that in previous car purchases, the dealer had always given us a write-up with the costs prior to our making a decision, the salesman said it was because we had alluded to the fact that we were going to sell our car privately so he had no way of knowing which scenerio to present to us. In fact, the salesman should have given us a write-up of both scenerios so there would be no surprises at the time of sale. We should have insisted on this when we gave them our deposit, but at the time it did not occur to us that there would be any "hidden" costs. This is the first time we have dealt with McCafferty Ford, and it will be the last time. While we were somewhat willing to give the salesman the benefit of the doubt, the "finance" person ultimately lost him and the dealership the sale and potential customers now and in the future.
