The skinny -- Excellent quality work done by four professional painters who were friendly and polite.
My plans to do the painting did not work out because the remodeling company got to installing the kitchen cabinets before I could get to painting. I asked our kitchen remodeler, Mother Hubbards, if they had a painter they recommended. They said they only hire John Songster to do all the painting for their projects. So I called John for an estimate. He arrived to look at the project and gave me an estimate within two days. The cost seemed quite reasonable for the amount of work to be done and he was highly recommended by Mother Hubbards. So I selected John to do the painting.
After the kitchen and floor remodeling was completed, John and his three painters arrived and completed the job in about 3/4 of a day. All the kitchen cabinets were covered in plastic as they sanded the joint compound and filled in small areas. They did an exceptional job sanding and smoothing all surfaces in preparation for painting.
All paint surfaces were given two coats of paint. They did an exceptional job of cutting in around all the cabinetry and trim. A very, very neat job of painting. No paint streaks or obvious brush marks anywhere on the walls.
Everything was cleaned up with no spills or major issues. I inspected the work before they left and was pleased. Unfortunately, I did not check the windows carefully enough. After they left, I found two small drips on the large bay window at the top and a small pool of paint in one of the corners. Fortunately, I had a paint brush handy to catch the drips before they dried. Having done my share of painting, these kinds of drips/pooling can easily happen well after you have completed the trim. John and I both should have checked those areas more carefully.
But all in all, they did an excellent job; much better than I would have done for a reasonable price. I'll have John back to paint other rooms in the future.
I would highly recommend John for your interior painting. I would assume his exterior painting is equally as good.

John has done painting for me a number of times. He contacts you promptly when you call to discuss a job. He is professional and a genuinely good person. He comes in, gets the job done and leaves things as found. He works quickly but neatly. I will use John in the future when I need painting done. No doubt

They arrived early. They were accommodating, quick, and efficient. They were clean and tidy, no paint spots, no mess. They cleaned up and were leaving and my husband came home and was interested in getting more work done. They said no problem and set back up and did the extra work. They were so professional and polite. I will recommend them. The work is very good!
