About us
Wayne Freysinger, founder of Freysinger Motors, started the automobile business as a mechanic in the early 1920s. He worked a number of local garages before going into business for himself on Bridge Street in New Cumberland, in a garage built for him by his father-in-law Jacob Weir Millard. This was in 1924. Whether you are researching new or used Buick and GMC vehicles, or looking for a reliable service and parts department near York PA, our Buick GMC dealership in Mechanicsburg has you covered! Our reputation is great, because we consistently put the customer first. Many dealerships say they do the same, but in the end, customers are left feeling tricked. We are dedicated to making sure that your experience with us is one that you will not only remember, but one that you will brag about. Come see us and let us make good on that promise!

Filter reviews by service
On Wednesday, January 11, 2012 I asked for our 2005 Mazda 3 to be looked at to insure that it was in good shape for my son to take back to college and to do the regular oil change. This car has been serviced at this dealership since the car was purchased on a regular basis as recommend. When the service manager called my son, he stated that the estimate to service the car was almost $1400.00 and included replacement of "cracked Sesp? belt, replacement of a/c belt, "broken" motor mount, transmission flush due to "fluid black" air filter, TBIS, CFS, Battery Service "corrosion". Front breaks, rotor and break pads, 5 missing shield nuts and clips. I asked for only the oil change service to be done, then checked Angie's List for another recommended auto service provider so we could have another opinion.
When I picked up the car at Freysinger, I asked why the estimate was so high and how the car could be in such bad shape for something that was serviced regularly. The manager said it was "normal wear" and that the parts quoted were Mazda parts, so the price could be reduced by using generic replacement parts instead if I liked. I paid for the oil change can left with the estimate.
On Friday, I had the car looked at by another auto service who determined that only thing wrong was a missing cabin air filter which needed to be replaced. Apparently the filter is located in an awkward place behind the glove compartment and is somewhat challenging to install. It appeared that after someone removed it, a new one was not put back.
When I received the service report, the report stated that the car was in ?very nice shape". I even asked if the windshield wipers needed replaced and the manger said they were working fine.
Needless to say, I have scratched Freysinger off my list of auto service dealers.
