Ed Shaffer Painting and Decks

Ed and his team were very professional and maintained a clean workspace! I will use him in the future. We were very pleased. Also, communication was excellent. Ed would let me know what was completed daily and if the timeline remained as expected.

Ed did a fantastic job. I can't believe I waited 18 months since I built this house and never thought of getting it done sooner. But the wait paid off. The Deck before and after Ed completed it just amazing. Ed explained the process very easy and walked me through choosing the colors. Watching Ed working on the deck and taking his time to get it done right unbelievable. His professionalism and customer service I wish if I can write more about him. The price was very reasonable as well. Well Done Ed and hopefully I see back @ my house again for the next project. Will definitely recommend and he will get it doe right!!!

Ed & team were timely and efficient. Also I felt the price was good. They painted over wood paneling in our basement and it came out beautiful. Will definitely be hiring again for future jobs!

Ed and his team did an amazing job restoring this property to a like new condition. It was quite the undertaking being over 2,000 sq ft and having been tenant occupied for the past 10 years. The project was completed in a timely manner and at the quoted price. We would highly recommend and plan on using Ed again in the future.

Ed did a fine job on our deck at home so we hired him for the more extensive cottage project. He is dependable and reliable. We gave him the keys to our cottage since we would not be there for the week that he was working. He was here/there as scheduled and honored his projected timeline. Pricing was very fair. Results were excellent, we will hire Ed next time we need painting and highly recommend him to our family and friends.

Overall the work that was performed at my house was sloppy and lacked attention to detail. Very amateurish. The work was rushed and Ed seems to care more about the check that comes at the end of the job than the actual quality of the work that he puts his name on. Does not do any prep work caulking, taping, etc. and it shows. They slopped paint on weather stripping, window, door hardware, and siding. If I would not have brought the paint that was on weatherstripping of my brand new door to his attention I believe he would have left it as is. He did clean some paint off but I could tell that was rushed as well because there is still paint on it. We repainted the entire deck and are hiring a different painter to repaint the front door because you can see where he rolled and the brush strokes for where he used a brush as well as other imperfections and debri. The price would have been good if I did not have to redo his work. The thing that gets me and has us frustrated is that we were willing to pay a fair price and would have gladly paid more ($200-300) for the work. We just wanted a clean, crisp, professional paint job and that is not even close to what we got. We did not haggle and accepted the price that he quoted as well.

Ed was reasonably priced, professional, and willing to follow up on places that requires touching up afterwards.

Great! Work was done well. He is great to work with, responds to communication immediately. He did this work all while we were out of the house at work. Was nice to have someone in our home we knew we could trust.

He did a great job and It still looks great even after 3 years. I can trust Ed to be in my house without myself being there.

It went better than I expected. It was done in advance and the work was great. He went above and beyond and fixed the wall and made some touch up on the basement with no additional charge.

It was a very difficult job as I have very high ceilings. I give him an A+ rating. He was professional, timely and I was very pleased with the work.
