It went very well. Jim was always on time and did a very careful job with his son moving a large very heavy piece of furniture that I was concerned about. The job was finished in the time frame promised. The price was reasonable and the work was professional, detailed and beautiful right down to the last detail! I have never seen a steadier hand. No taping or anything. I watched in amazement! You couldn't have a kinder, friendlier more trustworthy person in your home. I will definitely hire again.

Jim and Barry did a great job. We had them paint ALL rooms--except the laundry/mud room and including the large garage)--in our new home in the two weeks before we moved in. This involved 10+ rooms, at least 8 different colors, and extensive "ladder work" in the 2-story foyer. We will hire them again for our next paint job.

It went very well. The time and cost estimates were reasonable and on target.They estimated 3 days and were done in 3 days. They worked with us on color matches which was important for the trim. They were very neat and cleaned up every day. They kept us informed when they would be arriving and the plans for the following day. We were very pleased.

Once again, Jim was prompt, professional and completed the job without so much as a paint drop on the floors or moldings. His prices are very reasonable. If you want professional results with clean, straight lines where the paint meets the ceilings and moldings, then Jim is your man.

Jim and Barry do very good work and they do it very fast. They are flexible (I changed my mind about the color of the powder room after they had started painting it.) We plan to use them again in the future.

We last used Jim in 2000 to paint our son's bedroom. When it came time to prep our house for sale this spring, we knew that interior painting was a must-do item before listing the house for sale. Jim and his sidekick, Barry, were great. Professional work, done on a schedule that met our needs. Jim and Barry were thorough, personable, and trustworthy--most of the time we simply told them to let themselves in via the garage door keypad, so they were even able to work when we were out of town for one weekend. Jim was a great resource for paint/color selections.
We close on our new home on August 28, but we will not move in the big stuff until after Labor Day--we've already booked Jim to put some color on the walls of our new home!
Update: 9-4-15: Jim and his team are nearly done with the painting of our new home--all bedrooms...LR...DR...office...great room...kitchen...bathrooms. Super job...so nice to have this done before we move in next week.

Jim did a very nice job with all the work. One room needed repairs to the wall because of the difficulty removing the paper, so there was a small extra charge which we understood. Jim did a nice job repairing the wall. We were very pleased with his work and would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others.

This is the second time I've contracted with Jim Drinks. He is very responsive and professional from the first contact. I was in a rush to get the work done. He came out the day after I called him to view, measure, and give me an estimate. We agreed on the work to be done and the price and he was able to start that week and completed the work within a week. He had an assistant that helped who was also very competent and professional. The work included patching defects such as dents, holes, and areas that were previously wall papered (I removed the wall paper) and painting all walls and ceilings in 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a great room. I moved most of the furniture and pictures, but he helped with large, heavy items. Everything (floors and any remaining furniture) was covered prior to beginning work and cleaned up at the end of the day. At the end of the job all wall plates, switches, wall mirrors, and light fixtures were replaced and the entire house vacuumed. Jim is very neat, professional, and does quality work. I was very satisfied with the job and highly recommend him.

We had Jim come to our home to give us an estimate for painting the interior. We asked him to give us two estimates; one for the three bedrooms and laundry room; and one for the living room, kitchen, dining room, hallway and one bathroom. He was very willing to give us two estimates allowing us to have our home painted in two stages. We appreciated the timeliness and clarity of the estimate. We thought the estimate was very reasonable.
Jim thought it would take about 7 - 10 days for the painting of the first phase to be completed. However, when he arrived we were pleased and surprised that he had an assistant, Barry, with him. They were amazing! They were so pleasant and great to have in our home. Their system of working together and teamwork was very efficient. The work was completed very quickly and the job was done perfectly. They were very careful with clean up as well. We chose separate paint colors for ceiling, walls, accent walls, trim and doors. The lines were done perfectly.We are very impressed. It would have taken my husband i forever to do all of this work. Jim was finished at the end of the fourth day!!! The area we had painted was a large, open-style design that included entryway, living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and large hallway. The price was $2,200. Not only was the job done well, it was finished ahead of schedule. If you have painting that needs done, we highly recommend Jim Drinks.

Excellent!! First off, Jim worked with my schedule and the other jobs he had on his calendar to find the best time slot so my family could get back to our living spaces as soon as possible. Jim brought in two other helpers/perfectionists since this job was for ten rooms. I knew exactly when they all were arriving as well as how long the entire job would take. Jim and one of his helpers were good at consulting on colors. Jim and his crew worked very well together and they were all pleasant to be around. They took pride in their work and therefore did not mind when I was looking over their shoulders from time to time. I will be asking them back to paint two other rooms in the future. Definitely a GREAT find on Angie's List.

JIm and his co-worker Barry arrived promptly when promised and worked cleanly and fast to complete the job. They did very nice work and always cleaned after themselves. We had a few tiny paint drops fall on bathroom tile but Jim helped clean those up.
Workmanship was excellent and Jim and Barry worked well together with all the other work crews we had involved in this large renovation project.
We have since then hired Jim twice back to do more work and plan to keep hiring him for all of our painting needs.
