Carpet &Tile Mart - Mechanicsburg

We were selling one house and they just came in and they did it. It took one day for the entire house. It took a day or two for them to come out after purchasing it. They were right on it. It was my only experience with them. Quality depends on how high you want to go there.

This is the second time I have purchased from them in ten years.  They have a show-room floor. We were able to purchase the same exact product that was name brand for about thirty-five percent less than other companies. They are a fine company.

The sales people were professional and very knowledgeable of the products.  After shopping around, the prices were the lowest and the installation was punctual, efficient and of high quality. After this experience, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

The guy came out to install and he said that I have to have a base board underneath it, then he had to undergird it. Everything was fine, and I had these throw rugs with yellow in them. They said if I bought this backing then the color from the throw rugs would not bleed into the linoleum but the backing was cut too short. I took it back, they cut it again, when we got home it ended up being the same size. What happened was, the yellow in the carpet that was not lifted up by the backing actually bled into the linoleum. They had an installer out and they said they could cut it out but that you would be able to see the seam and it would get dirty over time. I just think they should have stood by their product. Now I am looking at a beautiful linoleum with yellow in it. The professionalism was good, the punctuality was great, how they laid it down was beautiful, but they did not stand by their product when it turned yellow. Other than that, they did an excellent job. But I think they should have made it right when it yellowed. I am heart sick because I wanted something that really looked nice and now they are not standing behind the product.

I stopped by Carpet Mart in Mechanicsburg after visiting Lowe's and Home Depot. I felt as though the Carpet Mart sales associate was very knowledgeable, Friendly, and was able to give me an accurate estimate(i had a computer drafted layout of my house ready for her). The sales associate scheduled me an appointment to have there staff come and measure the rooms and verify to give me a more accurate estimate. The Gentleman who came to my house was also knowledgeable about the carpet I chose and how my dog would effect it. After he left i followed up with Carpet Mart, at this point I was going to consider different carpet, but was told that the install fee was more for a different brand, which would make the "better" carpet only slightly more, So i went with her suggestion and ordered the carpet. Everything in the store went well which is why I decided to purchase my carpet from them.
The installers arrived to my home as scheduled, and immediately began working upstairs. They completed the job, pretty quickly and had the carpet vaccumed and ready for me to move furniture in. I thanked the guys for there help, and tipped them to show my appreciation. 
 Monday morning came by and i noticed my iPod touch was missing, I attempted to use the tracking app installed to find out it had been disabled. I looked everywhere for it, then contacted carpet mart. I informed the staff member that they were the only one in my home that weekend with access to it. He told me he'd contact the store manager and advised me to continue looking for it. I called 3x over 1 1/2 weeks and never onced received a call back from the store manager. SO i contacted there corporate offices and spoke to the regional manager, who told me pretty much there wasn't anything they could do and told me to contact the local police. At this point I had filed a police report, but had asked to give the store a chance to resolve this with me. I finally was able to contact the store manager, and he also advised me that there was nothing they could do unless a police investigation found there installer liable. I again told him they were the only ones in my home with access to it that weekend. After contacting the company owner, and the BBB I was offered a $200 store credit, I told them at this point I would never consider doing business with them and would advise friends and family to do so.
I feel Carpet Mart as a company lost my trust, and I will never again make a purchase from them. I feel as though the store manager should have contacted me as soon as complained to his staff(not 1 1/2 weeks later), And i personally feel Carpet Mart should have refunded $200 to me instead of store credit.
