PLAZA DRY CLEANERS

I called company to ask if they clean area rugs. I was told that since my rug was rather large ( 5ft.by 8ft.), it would be sent to Pittsburgh for cleaning. I delivered it to store on July 21st and paid a $20.00 deposit. On August 15th it was back from Pittsburgh, and I picked it up and paid remaining charge of $72.22. It was neatly rolled up and covered in brown paper and in a plastic bag. When our new flooring had been installed, and we were ready to lay it back down, we unrolled the area rug. We were so flabberghasted. The rug had been ruined! It was in worse shape than before we had sent it out to be cleaned. Not only were the stains and surface dirt still there, but some of the fringe on one end of the rug was missing! This was an expensive wool rug purchased from Hovis's Furniture store here in Meadville, PA. When I called the dry cleaner's to complain, the owner had to call Pittsburgh and get back to me. The owner, by the way, also owns Cargo Cleaners on North Street in Meadville, PA. Anyway she did call me back a couple days later and told me the only thing she could do was send the rug back to Pittsburgh. Why would I send it back when "they" had already ruined it? It was beyond repair. I asked the owner if she would at least dispose of the large heavy rug for me, and I was told she couldn't even do that. Needless to say, I will NEVER to business with Plaza Dry Cleaners nor Cargo Cleaners. My $800.00 rug was ruined, and I wasted an additional $92.22 trying to have it cleaned. And "they" couldn't even dispose of it for me...put it in their dumpster or whatever? Was that too much for me to ask? It was for Plaza Dry Cleaners (Cargo Cleaners.)
