In the past, we have used Ken Staub Construction/Remodeling for installation of windows, soffit and fascia, and doors, so we had a great deal of confidence in the proprietor. We knew that Ken Staub would serve well as a consultant (listen to us carefully and give us good advice) as well as the contractor for this back sliding glass door project. He came to our house several times, measured the opening, removed some of the old molding to determine a solution to the 1967-vintage (poor) design of the original door unit, and even met us at the lumber yard to follow-up and communicate our exact needs. He analyzed our significant leveling problem (house settling, ground subsidence, and possible water damage - the challenge of placing a door on a slope of more than 5/8 inch!), engineered a way to replace the old floor/door footer and build a new structure using wood, and found us a cement-worker who poured a beautiful new stoop/outside step. The job lasted a full day. He brought three other men, which assured the safe transport, placement, and permanent installation of the very heavy three-panel door. His workers were very respectful of our possessions, yard, household routine, and even our two puppies. They put up a plastic barrier in the hallway opening to lessen the amount of dust and cold air circulating to the rest of the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Ken Staub has always treated his customers like they are family-members, and his price was very reasonable. We plan to call him on for numerous other fix-it and renovation projects, including installation of a front door, living room bay window, aluminum siding, and even a roof.

I have used him on two big projects in the past; we spent about $26000 for the first project and $10000 for the second project. He is reliable, and they do wonderful work. When he and his men were working here at my home, they were sitting out in my driveway at 10 to 7 every morning waiting until 7 when I opened the door. I?ve had excellent experiences with him and have recommended him to many people. Probably, 7 of my neighbors have also had major work done by his company. I would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future.
