I spoke with the manager and asked about repairing the chair since when we bought the chairs we were told it was a 5 year warranty. He was hostile from the beginning and said "you obviously didn't read your warranty, the parts are covered for five years but not the labor". I ignored his initial hostility and I asked how would I get them repaired, did he have repair people I needed to contact once the parts were ordered and he said "no, that is not what we do". I then got huffy back and said "you sell the chairs but don't help beyond that- is that what I am to understand, that you don't provide any customer service". He then argued with me for several minutes that it was not the store that didn't provide customer service, but the manufactuer- "Lane" that would not. I alerted him that he was a representative of Lane, but that concept seem to escape him. He was very demanding in his opinion that he just sold the chairs and nothing more. Therefore, the situation was left unresolved and I have since contacted Lane directly to order the parts and my husband found a YouTube video on how we can repair as it shouldn't be too hard. With all of the online options and other furniture stores in the area, I would suggest not shopping here unless you are moving away after purchase and will require no additional services.
Description of Work: Called for information on repair of chairs we have had less than 4 years. They are Lane recliners and are not used very often as they sit in an "formal living". Both chairs have problems: one chair has a broken spring, the other has an 8-way tie that severed.
