I signed a contract and gave him some money with the signed contract. It took him about a month to get started. He was very sporadic. After he worked about a month he asked for some more money. I gave it to him and never heard from him again. I had to pay someone else to finish the job. The work was very poor quality. He used plain nails in wolminized wood, which showed me he did not really know what he was doing. Many of the boards were split from the nails because he took no care in nailing them in correctly.
