I signed the contract near the end of June and it was supposed to be active on July the 9th. He was working for my god-daughter, that's how I met him, and once he started working for me he just stopped doing the work for her. When I approached him about this he yelled at me and said it was none of my business. He did some cosmetic repairs, meaning he put a piece of plywood and painted it, the wrong color at that. He never restored my porch to building code like stated in the contract. While he did take the wood off that he was supposed to repair, he never replaced it. He would invite his friends over to hang out on the porch while his STEP SON was doing the work. Two weeks after I paid him he called me at 11:30 at night and told me that the bank wouldn't cash my check. However, I had already seen that he had cashed my check. I've tried calling him but have only spoken with his wife. He truly owes me money for the work that he didn't do and the "supplies" he had me pay for but never showed any receipts.
Description of Work: He was supposed to repair my porch.
