"We have reviewed this and found that the original call came in on Good Friday, which we were closed for. There were 3 estimates given, 1 over the phone for $1700 which included a Clopay sale that did indeed end on that Monday, the other 2 estimates were given on site for Wayne Dalton products and ranged from $1600 to $1700, so I am not sure where you are getting the $2200 from...may have us confused with another company. We also have noted that you told us you had decided to go with a company that could do the door faster than us, never a mention of price. We pride ourselves on low pressure sales and we are sorry that you felt any pressure, however we were simply trying to advise you of a great promotion that Clopay was offering. We hope that you found a great garage door company and that you enjoy your new door."
"I am amazed that 10 YEARS after the install, this is the first time we have heard about this. I have checked all records and there was NEVER a complaint made about these issues, the ONLY other call that was logged, was in 2005 for a frayed cable which we replaced under the parts warranty. As far as "staples" being used in the weather seal, that simply is not true, we have NEVER used staples. We did at one time use brad nails. We often reuse the existing angle drop downs due to the fact that they were installed prior to the plaster or drywall. If we remove those drop downs, we will then have to repair the holes left in the plaster/drywall to meet current building codes. No company can leave open holes in any garage. As far as additional services such as caulking, all of our customers are given the option to purchase those services, in this case that service was declined by the customer. At the time of install everything worked as it should and the customer signed off on the job. We have no record of any maintenance performed which should be performed annually. Lack of maintenance will cause many failures, including springs and cables being out of adjustment, which could cause them to rub on the tracks. If you don't change your oil in your car for 10 years, chances are it will start making noise at some point. I am sorry that you feel you had a bad experience with our company and I wish you would have brought these issues up prior to posting a negative review so that we could have tried to satisfy you. We stand behind our work 100% and that will never change. Our customers are very important to us and we do everything we can to make them happy."
