If I could give negative stars I would. A complete waste of $250. The install completely fell apart before a single use. Inconsistent and unclear communication. Caused a great deal of emotional distress due to inability to solve an urgent issue after being paid extra to do so, wasting a great deal of money, especially for a student, and refusing to be understanding or compromise. For a more detailed description continue reading. I called this company on a Friday because I urgently needed my new gasket installed. I purchased the part myself, but soon realized I needed assistance. The technician verified that the part was purchased from a very reputable source. He said he could come same day, but the price was understandably high, $250, but I was desperate so I decided to pay it. He arrived and had me sign a document detailing their refund policy. He stated verbally that because it was an install, not a repair, he could not warranty the part. I was very confident, especially after his verification, that my part was correct and would not break, so I agreed. He did not explain or clarify at all what he meant by “no warranty”. He took quite a long time to install the part, and once he was done I had to leave immediately for an important meeting. He began a rinse cycle before he left, which did not leak any water at first glance, so I thought the install was done correctly. The following day, I went to do a load of laundry, and once I opened the washer door, the spring that held the gasket to the washer opening popped out, so the gasket was no longer sealed and would leak water if I tried to run a load. I called back immediately (this was a Saturday, and their website says they are open, and I recall them being open according to google at the time, but it seems as though they have changed their hours to being closed sat/sun on google), and demanded the issue be fixed immediately, because I paid extra for a rush job which was not completed. They said they would call me back on Monday and ceased communication despite my continued efforts. They did not call back on Monday, so due to my urgency, I was forced to request a different company to fix the issue. I read every word of the fine print on the paper i signed, and the document says that i am entitled to a 75% refund for unsatisfactory service. It does say that they are not responsible for covering the cost of any alternative technicians if you choose to hire them, but i never asked for that, I only wanted my refund. I called them back on Tuesday (still not having received a call back) to request my refund. They declined because they said they offer no warranty on installs as opposed to repairs. I said that I understood that, but the part didn’t break, the install was just done incorrectly. They said that the install itself was what they were referring to, not the part. This was never clarified to me during the initial meeting, and I would have never agreed to this had it been clarified. Again, the document I signed includes nothing about this. I also would have never agreed to this, because they said they could only offer to come try again to install the part, instead of a refund. But i did not trust him to do this correctly after doing such a horrible job the first time. After my continued requests, and only sporadic responses from them, they continued to deny my refund. A complete waste of $250.

They charged me the full $120 diagnostic fee even though when they arrived they discovered that my tenant (I own the house) must have mistakenly hit a switch inside which turned off the frig. I understand that they need to charge for their time and the visit, but $120 for a 2 minute visit is absurd.

"Thank you for leaving us a review. I like to address your concern in this review. We only charge you $120 for the service call fees which was a same day appointment and you were okay with it before we set up the appointment with your tenant, and l believe you are aware that the service call fees only covers for trip charge and diagnostic. We never charged you for any repair labor ($95) which we waved because our technician felt this isn't something he should charge you for and we were honest with you about our diagnostic/findings (temperature control nob turned off) eventhough you're not present on site. Although you think the time put in was short enough never to charge you for the service call fees; yet there was a problem with the refrigerator until we diagnosed the refrigerator and fix it by turning on the temperator nob, without charging you for the repair labor. Am sorry that you're not pleased with the service call charge after your tenant have been taking care and his happy he has a working refrigerator now. l think you should appreciate that we offer you same day service in this unprecedented time where most appliance services are not sending out their technicians out there. Please let appreciate one another in this difficult time so small business like us can serve our communities better. Thank you. David"

Immediately David Niyalu identified a problem with the cleaning blades on our Kenmore dishwasher. He explained how our hard water had corroded the water openings. He gave us options and we agreed to replace the two blades. He ordered replacement parts and installed them three days later.

As diagnostic by David, He needs to put new powers board. Which he installed. While Installing I asked him is it used he said no. I said I see there are stains on power board. Then he said yeah its old so its refurbished part. Also there were some cable socket were burned. Which he didn't consider changing. After installing all it didn't run more than two days. And he started blaming on my electric system. I will never use him in my life.

"You never mention on your review that you're from select home warranty, and you're not in anyway a direct customer to our company. I think you should contact your warranty company and write review on them and not us as they are responsible for them to schedule your repair not us. This customer need to understand that there's a third party policy in place and we can't takecare of him without work order from his warranty company. Your warranty contacted us to get job done in the first place which we did, and if you have any problem with your dishwasher again you should contact you warranty "Select Home Warranty". From our record we fixed your dishwasher and it ran for 2 weeks and yet you have another issue or same issue, all you need to do is call your warranty company to set up a revisit which they never did; now you come up here to write a bad review about us. We have work order to show that this customer was from a home warranty customer and his not in anyway a direct customer to our company neither through Angielist or any other platform. Thank you"

David correctly diagnosed a blown control board on our Samsung dryer. While he could have repaired the unit, he correctly advised us to replace the dryer based on its age. He did not feel that the repair cost could be justified. He charged only for a service call and diagnostic visit.

refrigerator stopped working on Labor Day. They came out in 2 1/2 hours which was good. technician broke off the stem connector on the compressor while checking for freon. Spent the next hour+ fixing that. Did not do any other diagnostic work at all. Told me to put a bottle of water in the freezer and call the next day if not frozen. In addition to charging me $237 including the labor for fixing what he broke, he voided my warranty when he broke the connector off the compressor. Beware!!!

'Yes' it was true that our technican ran into some problems when working on your refrigerator; which he fixed and customer was advices to give us a call back to know how things goes, which he never did. We made so many attempt to reach this customer over the phone to know the working status of the refrigerator but he never answered. Like we always said this to all our customer "if you don't follow our guidelines of service, we will not be responsible for anything afterward." Here's what technician told customer upon arrival after customer told technician what problem. was. "Sir you might have a bad compressor due to the fact that the high or discharge line is not warm, but let me check the unit." We made numerous calls with voicemail to offer this a new compressor after we saw this review but he never answered neither did he return our voicemail. We are truly sorry for any inconveniences we may have cause you. We wish to resolve this with you. Thank you for reading."

David responded promptly and was able to make a service call within 30 minutes, however he didn't run any tests. He simply looked at the fridge and diagnosed it based on the description that I gave him of what the problem was, provided an estimate on the installation of a new temperature control module ($600), collected his $100 and left. Total time in the house was 10-15 minutes and most of that was to provide the estimate. Rather than pay the addl. costs, I ordered a new temperature control module online for $200 and installed it. This didn't fix the issue so I called Sears to schedule a service call. The Sears technician spent 45 minutes in my home running full diagnostics on the unit for the same cost ($100). He showed that the temperature control module was functioning properly. The issue was the compressor and he stated that any qualified repair person should have been able to easily diagnose the issue. I contacted David to request that his $100 service fee be refunded due to misdiagnosing the problem causing me addl. time and wasted money. David referred me to the fine print on the invoice stating that the fee is non-refundable. The agreement was that the cost of the service fee was to diagnose the issue. Since he failed to do what was agreed, the RIGHT thing to do was to refund the fee. My recommendation, go somewhere else.

We understand you're not satisfied with the fact that you ask us for a refund which unfortunately is not refundable according to our service agreement which you signed on. Just so l explain why your service calls can't be refunded, this is because we come out to you, to look at your appliance. Technician told you what the problem was with your appliance and you choose to complete your repair yourself, at that point is your responsibility for whatever happened. If you choose to call other contractor to look at your appliance for other option that's at your own cost is never our responsibility. Like we adviced you via our angieslist messages that if you like us to consider your service call fees refund, you should have the other contractor provide us a written statement stating the initial diagnosis wasn't right along side the correct diagnostic for the applaince, this statement must contain the name of technician, signed and date. Thank you"

A mostly clogged vent pipe caused a number of problems related to heat coming/staying on with our dryer, and required a second trip out to get completely diagnosed/repaired. The repair technician was professional, prompt, and made sure everything was working correctly on the second trip out. I'd definitely use them again.
