GAS SAFETY HAZARD BEWARE
HomeLife Appliance placed my family and our neighbors at serious risk of gas poisoning or even death by refusing to complete the proper safety checks during installation of our kitchen stove. I am a simple mother who cares about her family and even with my basic knowledge of safety, I knew enough to insist on a safety check of the line before they left our home. Instead of performing the safety check, I was threatened that they would just be taking back the stove and I guess oh well too bad and so sad for us. They had a total disregard for the contract which was entered into or the service which was promised. I believe the installer were the 2 sons of the original owner of the company which I used to trust.
I am including the following from GasApplianceInstallation.com just to demonstrate exactly how irresponsible their behavior was. I quote ?one thing to know about gas appliances-they should always be properly installed without a shadow of doubt?.If the appliance is not installed properly then the result could be failure or danger. Gas is not something that should be messed with if you have any intention of taking short cuts or trying to make something work?. [such shortcuts should never happen!] Next you should make sure that all the gas fittings you have are the right kind and size. This is a matter of high importance as well. The fittings are what will attach the live gas line to the appliance? A gas leak in a home or business can be very deadly and an explosion or poisoning can occur without you knowing something is going on.?
The only thing that finally forced HomeLife Appliance to check the connections was the arrival of the police.
