Pat and his crew were great and easy to deal with. Initial meeting with Pat I knew he was the guy I wanted. Project turned out great. We have had some issues with the water feature but Pat has corrected them in a timely manor and has been great with communication. You never truly know about a company/ person until there is an issue. Pat handled it well and my wife and I are very pleased

One of the best experiences with a contractor that I've had! Everything went very well and smoothly. I would hired Douds Bros. again without any hesitation as they are pretty awesome to work with. I have a retaining wall behind my house that collapsed because it was built incorrectly by a previous owner. Mike came out to look things over within a few days of calling and emailed me the quote very shortly after that. The contract is very clear and spells out everything that will be done, which I appreciate. I hired Douds because their price was much better than any of the other companies I talked to and I liked what Mike had to say - he knows what he's doing. Their portfolio of work speaks for itself. The team that came out were hard workers and very good at what they do. They were all super friendly, polite, etc. I was happy to see that Mike was here to over see the work and he was working along side them. The finished wall looks great and I don't think it's going anywhere for a very long time. When they finished, debris was hauled away and the area was left clean.

Pat's team provided the most innovative design of 3 companies we had bid the job, and was able to start the job quickly. Length of construction was as expected, even though they had to remove a giant tree which was challenging. We had some issues with pooling water after heavy rains, and Pat's team came out several times to try new things until the problem was solved.

Pat is AWESOME! I was having an ice rink kit delivered to my home. Doud's was finishing a project down the street, installing pavers on a patio and driveway (it looks amazing; that's a review my neighbors can write). I asked Pat if he could help me unload the truck when it came. He agreed. The night before the delivery it snowed 4 to 5 inches. Pat was out all night plowing and salting but he arrived right on time to help me unload the equipment. I couldn't have done it without him. I offered to pay him but he refused. He even refused to take an amount equal to what I would have paid to rent a Bobcat. Had he not helped I would have paid to rent a Bobcat and not had the extra help. Plus I would have had to rent it again another day b/c the ground was too snowy and icy on the day of the delivery to place the chiller down a hill on a concrete pad. I'm utterly impressed by how responsible, honest, and customer focused he is.

They were very professional, and friendly to work with. They did the work promised in the time frame they discussed. Very quality work. We were very happy with the outcome.

Asked to have estimate for paver patio installation. We had sketched out our basic design on a survey. Their bid came in almost triple what other groups were offering! They also did a mock-up, which was very nice to see, but was not at all what we wanted. I'm sure if we were working with us, they would have changed it to be more in line with our design. But the price was so high we never got that far.

I contacted this company because of there work they did at my parents house. I contacted them to provide me with a quote for a Versa-lok wall and new fencing for my back yard. The initial consultation went great and I received the quote within a short amount of time after that. I was upfront with the representative and said that we would be ready to pay for the work the following Spring (it was Fall). I contacted the representative and the company several times by phone and email in the Spring to schedule the work. I either never received a response or I received an apology for the delay and kept getting pushed back months and months. I could never get confirmation of a date on the calendar for the work. I was finally told that the company could do the work late September or beginning of October. To this day, I still have not been contacted by the representative or the company. I feel this company is totally unprofessional and only gives priority to high priced jobs. I was quoted $6300 for the work, which for me is a lot of money, but I guess it wasn't a big enough job for this company.

We absolutely love our new backyard!! The transformation is amazing. Pat and his crew were great to work with from the initial design through the end of the project. They were very professional and clearly experienced in their craft. The project was started and completed on time just as Pat had committed to in our design meetings. I highly recommend Douds Landscaping for your Hardscape project!

Everything went very well. Pat said he would be here every day with his crew and he was. There was no wondering where they were. Often, they were still here when I got home from work wrapping up the days work. The workers were neat and cleaned up after themselves. Pat was up front from the beginning about the start date. He told us he wouldn't be able to start until late summer because of previous contracts. We appreciated not being told they would start sooner when they knew they couldn't. As with all construction projects there were very minor situations. They accidentally cut a cable line. He was most apologetic. The work done is beautiful and we have had many fun neighborhood and family gatherings. We do have some puddling in one area and our fire pit doesn't drain well. We had asked for additional lighting on the walkway but he never came back or called. We didn't pay for this new request so there were no money issues involved. But truthfully, overall, we are very pleased. It was the best thing we did. We love how he built up the patio to make it level with an existing small deck. The size is perfect based on his recommendations.

At first I wanted a 40' by 3' wall.  I had multiple people come in and give me estimates.  The first thing that impressed me about Douds Bros Landscaping was how quickly they got back to me with their estimate.  The second thing that impressed me about them was their cost.  The third thing was how professional Mike was through the whole process.  A day into the project we decided that we wanted to more than double the length of the wall making it 88' long and it varied in height from 5' to tapered end.  Mike was very understanding when I called him and asked him if we could extend the wall.  He went right along with it.  He would call me with updates letting me know how many workers would be there each day and what time to expect them.  Of course he needed to order more bricks when I more than doubled the work and he explained that depending on the availability it could take an extra day or 2.  It actually did not take any other time because they had more dirt and to remove so it all worked out.  We also had weather issues and he was always very good about giving me updates on that too.  I highly recommend Douds Bros Landscaping!!!

This was  the second large job Douds Bros. did for us as we were so so pleased with the first. Their supplier provided a less than adequate brick product but Douds has stuck with us in getting to a remedy. Their work is always well thought out in advance and done to specification. They are always flexible and willing to work with us when our minds change. That's why we have engaged them to do another $30,000 project this year.

Pat was extremely professional and prompt.  He had many ideas for us and brought out samples of different pavers for us to look at.  He came up with a very professional design that we really liked.  He met with us in person, providing us with a folder of information, including a very reasonable estimate for our project.  However, we were blessed with three very professional and wonderful landscapers who all gave us great estimates and project designs.  We decided on a different landscaper, based on very small details.  It was VERY difficult to chose!  We would HIGHLY recommend Doud's Bros. to anyone with a landscaping project.  We will definitely keep them I'm mind for future projects!

Their price for the value received was reasonable and they did good work for us on a previous project. We simply wanted to use their services again on an additional project of a similar nature. They are professional, responsive and punctual. We were very happy with them; they are quite flexible and did a great job on hardscaping design and implementation. However, we are not as happy with the associated landscaping services; it is not their forte. The grades I am giving are associated with their hardscaping, not landscaping.

We selected them after interviewing 5 other companies. We chose them on the basis of their sense of quality and ability to actually do the project. They had great cooperation and customer service. They did the design and then we made changes. They were very good with flexibility. They were reasonably on time with the work. It was definitely a quality job.

Mike came as scheduled to give us an estimate.  Afterwards, we decided on some changes, so he had to give us a new estimate.  Before we finalized the plans, Mike suggested we go to a local supplier to look at the stones.  This suggestion was very useful and helped us to confirm our selections. Once the scheduled date arrived, Mike and team showed up as expected and got right to work.  The weather was good so there were no delays and the job was completed in a week as expected.  We had not had this type of work done before and Mike was very good at answering all of our questions.  They did a good job cleaning up the site.  Mike even hauled away some parts of the old patio that we had removed before the job started.  They repaired the yard where they had driven in their equipment and materials  We are very pleased with the work and highly recommend Douds Brothers.

Our walls and steps were badly in need of repair.  After several estimates from different companies and reference checks we found Douds Bros Landscaping to be the best qualified company for the job and I'm glad we did.  They did a fabulous job of replacing all of our walls and steps.  They communicated every step of the way, were punctual, professional, and cleaned up after themselves daily.  The entire job took approximately a week to complete and there is a 5 year warranty on all work that they do.  We are very happy with the results.  They even moved our weeping cherry tree for us and mulched everything once they were done.   We will definitely call them if we need anything else done in the future.

My wife and I scheduled a visit with the contractor to come to our house to discuss and provide a quote for new retaining walls.  We thought the visit (March) went great and were excited.  The rep. was to work up a quote with a couple options and get back to us.  He did advise that he was going to be on vacation the week after his visit to our house, so it would be sometime shortly thereafter before he could get back to us with the quotes.  Three weeks went by and no response.  We called and told the office we were still waiting for a response.  They advised they would get back to us.  We left a voice message approximately 3 weeks after that and still no response.   If they decided they were not interested, letting us know that would have been better than ignoring us. 

If they can't even respond to requested quotes and phone calls, who knows what type of service or work they would provide.

We requested an estimate for a new patio and retaining wall and some restorative landscaping. Pat made 2 visits. First to gather our ideas and take estimates and again to present us with his ideas and estimate. As the project began to take shape we realized that we wanted a covered patio and some additonal features. Through no fault of Pat's, we were running into design obstacles and numerous questions were starting to arise. We also realized that the landscapers we were interviewing could not do the entire job. Many aspects would need to be subcontracted. We were getting bids on a wide spectrum. So, we had to rewind. We then hired an architect to develop a builders set of specs so that we could accurately execute our plan and that contrators were all on the same page when it came to bidding out the job. Since meeting with Pat our project has taken off in a different direction. We appreciate Pat's professionalism, time and patience.
