About us
David's Chimney service is owned and operated by Karen Dwyer. We have been in business for 26 years. Owner is almost always on sight. David passed away April 21, 2018. The business is continuing on in his honor. Please bare with me as finding a replacement has been very difficult. I am still taking appointments however getting to everyone is a challenge. I will be cutting back on chimney repairs especially during the busy cleaning season. Forms of payment are cash or check only. We always offer a neighborhood discount for 2 or more participating neighbors on the same day of service. Services provided are: Chimney Cleaning, Chimney Repair, Stainless Steel Relining for Furnace-Hot Water-Wood Stoves-Fireplaces, We install Stainless Steel Chase Covers and Chimney Caps as well as the Top mounting Lock-Top Damper TM. We waterproof chimneys as well. If you or anyone you may know is looking for seasonal part-time work please contact me directly. Pay is negotiable. (The less I have to physically do the better the pay)

"The chimney cap was still on the chimney both before and after the chimney was cleaned as observations were made by both [Member Name Removed] and Karen. It is unfortunate that this occurred an effort was made to rectify this situation. The chimney cap was not installed by our company and was one that was slid down inside the chimney. There is weather documentation of high winds in the are after the cleaning was done. In fact this is the same time the large power lines over I79 on rt 228 had blown over causing the rd to be shut down. This residence isn't far from there. As for responsiveness and punctuality, The customer flagged us down in his neighborhood and had us follow him to his house to perform the cleaning. Had the cap come off during the cleaning it would have startled if not come down on his daughter that was sunbathing just ouside the chimney."
"We are very sorry to hear this. We have not received any calls from this customer stating there was an issue. We don't quite understand, if the product failed after a year why weren't we notified until 2 years after the fact and only finding out after a bad review was given here on Angies list? The product has a 10 year warranty and if there was a failure then it should have been made know so we could contact the maker for replacement of product. If an attempt was made during 2012 -2013 We were shut down while David batteled cancer."
"Our most sincere apologies to your situation. I'm sure we also informed you that it is possible for some bricks to still have issues and we may need to come back for further repairs should any more bricks continue to spaul. There is no charge to re apply the water proofing but there is an additional charge for replacing more bricks. David's chimney service had to close down from September of 2012 through August of 2013 until David was cleared from battling Large Difuse B cell Lymphoma stage 3 B. Please give us a call and we will do our best to rectify this situation. ( David is currently in remission)"
