I decided to go with another contractor from Angie's list who was just as detailed and a little bit cheaper than Surface & Structure GC.
Based on the professionalism and focus to detail of all the work, that Jeremy wrote an estimate for..I would NOT hesitate to contact and use Surface & Structure GC for any future projects I have.

We worked with Jeremy from Surface and Structure to remodel our outdated bathroom.  We had them replace the vanity cabinet and vanity top, fix a wall, install an exhaust vent, add a storage cabinet and rip out an old, enclosed fluorescent light fixture and replace it with something much more fitting for a bathroom.  They also installed a tile floor, and best of all, tore out an old neo-angle stall shower and installed a much larger, beautiful tile and glass shower area.
We had originally gotten a quote on the project from a company that specializes in bathroom remodeling.  We liked the idea of a bathroom remodeling company because we didn't want to have to manage execution of the work of several different contractors and we wanted to be sure we were working with contractors who knew what they were doing for a bathroom remodel.  We are so glad we decided to go with Surface and Structure instead.  We ended up with a MUCH more luxurious bathroom than we had drawn out with the other company and for less money too!  Even though Jeremy subcontracted some of the work out (to licensed contractors that he works with often), he did an excellent job of coordinating everyone's work.  Jeremy and the subcontractors communicated with each other and we never had to be project managers.  He was easy to work with and clearly knew what he was doing.  He put thought into what would be the best way to execute all aspects of the project instead of just doing what seemed like it would be the least amount of work.  The plumber he used was obviously of the same mindset.  Some of the existing plumbing was not exactly ideal and he made it right instead of just doing the bare minimum to get the job done.  For example, the shower drain did not have a real trap due to it being in a very tight space and he figured out how to make room for one.
The work started on time and went smoothly.  The one and only time that something went not according to plan was when the shower head and knob that were installed were not the ones we had picked out.  All we had to do was let Jeremy know and he was on it.  Turns out, the ones we ordered were on backorder from the manufacturer and the manufacturer just went ahead and sent something similar.  It took a while to get the right thing from Delta, but once they came, the plumber had them installed right away.  We didn't mind waiting since the bathroom was fully functional in the meantime.
Communication with Jeremy was easy through either phone calls, email, or text messages.  For the most part, he got back to me within about a day of being contacted, although it did take a little while for us to receive the initial quote.
We would definitely recommend Surface and Structure to a friend or relative and we've already contracted them to do another small project at our house.

Jeremy did a great job.  He showed up when he said he would.  Gave a detailed price quote.  Had good ideas and was very cooperative.  He does qualtity work in a professional manner.

Everything went well.  He did a good job for a reasonable price.

Having our basement flooded was a nightmare. But Jeremy made it so much easier for us. We were so happy with him that we hired him again this Spring for a kitchen job. We'll definitely be calling him in the future for our household repairs & upgrades.
