Very poor customer service and unethical with their billing. There are plenty of other plumbing companies around town so I'd caution against using these guys. I am very disappointed with the service and craftsmanship I received from Haldeman Mechanical. I was charged for 7 hours instead of 5 1/2. And I was charged $150 per hour instead of the quoted $100 per hour that I agreed too. Haldeman also refused to use my $37 worth of fittings and charged me $186 for their fittings. They also left the job half way through for a more important call returning two days later. I couldn't get them to send me a bill of materials or a breakdown of service hours. I decided to send a letter to the owner, Mark Haldeman. I included with the letter a check for the invoiced amount but requested that he reconsider the amount based on the breakdown of hours I logged expecting to receive a new invoice. Haldeman cashed my check and I never heard from them. There are plenty of other plumbing companies around town so I'd caution against using these guys.

I thought the price was a little high for a fan motor, but I guess that is what they are now. They could have warned me what it was going to cost before they ordered the motor. I did not have a choice anyway, but it would have been less of a surprise. They did the job that I hired them to do. I cannot fault them for that. They were clean and orderly. It took about a week to find the motor, get the motor in, and get it installed. I probably would use them again.

Early in the process - before UGI had even installed the line - my old hot water heater died. I was looking into adding a new (natural gas) hot water heater to the project. However, I needed to wait to have that installed until after UGI was done with their part of things. But I needed hot water in the meantime, of course. When I talked to Haldeman's, they said they could install a loaner electric hot water heather. Not only that, but they offered to install it that very same day! The only reason we didn't do that is that I wasn't able to be home to let them in. They did deliver it within the next couple of days, though, and they removed the old hot water heater too. They were also very understanding when I accidentally left my front storm door locked and had to keep them waiting while I drove the half hour home from work to let them in. They were just excellent to work with overall - very personable, professional and willing to explain things to me. I would highly recommend them!

They were very prompt and very professional the entire time they were here. We also felt the price was a good one for the job that they did.
