Replaced dead bolt, rekeyed four locks, made 6 additional keys, adjusted strikes on both doors so locks work smoothly, cleaned up, polite, excellent service, arrived within one hour!

I had an appointment and the day of the install was called to let me know the arrival time. Mr. Young was knowledgeable and professional. All work was completed in one visit. I am very happy with the service of this company and would use them again.

I wish I could give A1 a triple A for Responsiveness, Professionalism and Punctuality. Unbelievable how great the service was. I called in the late morning and A1 was at my home that afternoon. I have a very old lock and the spring broke. Other lock services told me I would have to buy a new one - cost about $800.00. Bill took one look at the lock and said, I can fix the spring. I'll make a new one for it. The cost will be about $200.00. And he was absolutely on the money and he DID make a new spring for my lock. He actually made 2 new springs for the lock. It works like new now. Call A1 before you even think about using any other locksmith. A great, professional on-time service with a really pleasant owner!

They returned my call at the end of their business day and were at my home exactly when they said they would be at 9am the following day. He was quick, professional, and did a great job. I was given a rough quote over the phone without them seeing anything and me just explaining the doors and locks. The final price was within a couple dollars of it which was far less than what I was expecting.

Called a1 from Angie's list reviews. Made appointment and they came day of closing on our house. Bill called and said he was on his way and was on time. He Rekeyed the locks, lined everything up so all the doors closed nicely and replaced a broken lock and gave me options and prices. Oiled everything up and gave us the keys and copies. Price was great for all the work. Very professional.

Bill was so great! Not only did he pick up his phone on a weekend, he was also able to come out and take care of my parents' house very quickly on Monday. He re-keyed all of their exterior doors, and did it quickly and expertly. Better still, he noticed that my mother wasn't locking the deadbolt on her back door, and correctly surmised it was because the door was difficult to open and close. We all assumed the door had swollen over the years from weather, and just ignored it. Bill diagnosed that it was actually only a loose hinge, fixed it, and didn't even charge us for it! So many of the locksmith ads in the yellow pages look like fly-by-nights, so it was really reassuring to know that A1 has been in business right here in the neighborhood for many years, and also reassuring to meet Bill, and have him be so professional, courteous, prompt and helpful. We will definitely call Bill and A1 the next time we need a locksmith!

A-1 came to the house and performed the task presented to him. The locksmith was professional and thorough in explaining the problem, why it occurred and how to prevent the same in the future.

Justin was excellent. The deadbolt went in easily, but the hardware for the patio slider was the wrong fit (we picked it from the catalog in A1s office, and when he tried to install it it wasn't correct. Justin did a little detective work, found some ID numbers on the old handle, and came back with the right lock. The service was very fairly priced. I'd use them again, no question.

My Mom was locked out of her house late at night. She had already called a locksmith that she randomly got off the internet. When they did show up they ripped her door apart and still couldn't get it open. She finally told them to leave and because she is who she is, she paid them for it.
I joined Angie's list, called the locksmith's in my mothers area. My first call was returned promptly stating that they would not be able to help. My second call was again returned promplty by A1 Security. Very prompt and professional. Estimated he could get there in 20 minutes which he did. He was able to undo the lock in moments however did not have time to fix the hundreds of dollars worth of damage the other locksmith had done.
My Mom was VERY pleased.

Wanted to change our entry door knobs to levers (us old folks had a hard time turning the knobs) and to match the rest of the house. Found A-1 Security service through Angie's list. Found the matching Kwicset levers on the Internet and confirmed A-1 Security Service carried them and would install. Ordered with A-1 on Tuesday, installed on Friday. Order was two entry set, one deadbolt, and 8 keys. A-1 showed up as scheduled and installed the new levers and locks quickly.

Excellent. Showed up ontime and did everything onsite. Was even able to give credit card payment onsite. Great Service!
