STRAUSS HOME INSPECTION

A friend suggested I contact Strauss Construction for an estimate to correct my previous contractors' poor workmanship. I needed to have a leaking door removed and reinstalled and siding replaced and/or installed correctly. Both items were on my garage. I wanted to make sure I was on the contractor's schedule for early spring. Dan was very friendly on the phone and in person. He scheduled time to come to my house on a Sunday shortly before Christmas. I was impressed he wanted to work on a Sunday, especially so close to the holiday. He reviewed the issues, stated repeatedly he and his employees are craftsman and told me he does a lot of work repairing other contractors' errors. We discussed his holiday travel plans and he told me he would get the estimate to me by January 5th (2014). It is May 12, 2014. I have not seen or heard from Dan. I don't know what his estimate would have been. I hired someone else to do the job for $3,500. Note: I couldn't find Dan Strauss under Contractors only Homes Inspections on Angie's List. According to his business card Daniel P Strauss is the owner of Strauss Construction (Quality Building since 1972) and also provides Home Inspections.
