Mervs Mulch, where to begin. How about unprofessional. He was hired to weed and mulch my yard. It was a big project. When they finally showed up I pointed out the girls plants that were specifically NOT to be pulled. Every one of them was pulled out. Lavender, white iris, coreopsis daisies, Blue bells, Shasta daisies, loves in the mist. I won’t know what else until spring because some of my bulbs weren’t fully died back because of the off spring we had. They wanted to cut back my hostas and August lily that is fully covered in blooms since it blooms in August. Some of the plants that were pulled were from my mother and grandmother that have since passed and are irreplaceable. I am heart broken. They left many weeds behind, but they did mulch around them. One area of my yard I explained what I wanted done, not even touched. When I contacted Merv he claimed he never had any complaints. I found one on a site and I wish I had seen it before I hired him. He claims brown-eyed Susan’s and purple cone flowers are weeds. Funny. I got my starter plants from his moms’ greenhouse. Since his mother does own a green house you would think he knows was perennials or as he calls the pre annuals are. When he finally showed up to look at what I was saying he said “I should have done what I wanted and pulled everything” OK, first off how dare he, I am working hard to grow flowers that a bee friendly and in the cold weather seeds for birds. I asked why the grass was not pulled from the lily of the valley. He said he didn’t know how to do it. If I could give a negative I most certainly would. His workers are not well trained to know what weeds are, waste too much time on their phones and smoking. His attitude towards a customer is less than professional and boarders on an arrogant know it all that doesn’t know. Let your weeds grow before hiring him.
