CJ Tire & Automotive Services - Lititz

I have used CJ's in Lititz for approx 2 years. I like to stay on top of the maintenance since our van has over 100,000 miles on it. We took all 3 of our cars in for basic maintenance. This was the second visit in 3 months. Both times I asked them to check the front brakes. I knew I was going to need new rotors because I had already flipped them once and replaced the pads. Both times I was told the brakes were fine. I knew the brakes were not fine since I had noticed a vibration on the driver's side when braking. So I decided to take it to a different garage 3 days later where I was told the brake pads were essentially gone, it was metal to metal, and the front caliper on the driver's side had to be replaced because it was now frozen. I was extremely disappointed with CJ's. I had to pay for extra repairs due to them not evaluating the brakes correctly on the prior visit and the most recent one. It is even more disappointing since it is a AAA rated garage. I lodged a complaint w/ AAA and have yet to receive a response. We have returned to the garage we started at 3 years ago. It is a longer drive and not as convenient for us to drop off, since it is in the opposite direction, but I trust their work.

I've been using them for three years and they are very honest. They knew I needed transmission work and recommended me to a transmission person who was also very honest. They are always very accommodating and try to get you in as soon as they can. If you have a breakdown they'll get you in. They'll offer you different levels of oil changes, like gold care and silver care. Some of it is just the basic oil change and one has like the air filter, lubrication, checking the coolant levels, gas filters and everything included. That one would be about $300 by the time you'll get all done, but they will give it to you for $139 which saves you money in the long run. They'll tell you the next time you are due for an inspection, like if you're going to need a battery or something, so they give you time to save up for it. They are not going to oversell you. There are several young people and several older people who are always at the desk waiting and looking around to help someone.
