They came out and checked my chimney liners and said they were OK. While they were here I had them clean the chimney

The contractor took great pains to see that everything was protected and kept clean and neat while working and after the job was done.

They were really good. They explained what they were going to do and they did it. There was not a big mess and it did not take them long to get it done. When they left I would not have known that they were here. It was a fair price.

Chickies Chimneys and Sweep did a great job for us. I'd rate them very high. They did good cleaning work. They were very friendly and polite and did a nice, affordable job for us. I would absolutely use them again.

The day after I first called them, Chickies came and cleaned a fireplace
flue and oil-fired boiler flue at my house. They also agreed to
prepare an estimate for relining the oil-fired boiler flue ( 60 years of
use) and repairing the fire tile floor of the fireplace. The estimate
was ready in a week. Chickies searched for a replacement tile for the
(60-year old) original tile, but could find none. I agreed to their
recommended alternate fireplace repair and relining of the oil-fired
boiler flue. They relined the boiler flue and repaired the fireplace in one day.
Chickies was courteous, clean, and prompt. I will call them again when
more chimney work is needed. Pricing was reasonable, I thought.

Everything went very well. I selected Chickie's Chimneys based on their location (a couple of miles up the road) and one positive report on Angie's list. It took a week to schedule the visit (based on my crazy schedule). Barry and his assistant arrived exactly on time and were here for about an hour. They put down drop cloths to protect the carpet and moved all of the fireplace stuff (grate, screen, etc.) outside while they were working. They cleaned up before leaving and even scrubbed a burn out of the tile in front of the fireplace (a service I hadn't expected). I assume the chimney flue itself was cleaned well - but frankly don't know what it is supposed to look like.

They were prompt, professional, friendly and did a good job. Cleaned things out very well and scrubbed down the fireplace to make it look much nicer than when they got there. Explained to me that my chimney was now in good working order with no issues they noticed, cleaned up and left my living room cleaner than when they showed up. They were quick to respond to my request when I called and left a message for their service and accommodated me into their schedule.

We reviewed three bids to add a stainless steel liner to our crumbling masonry chimney. Chickie's Chimney was one of two companies that came out for an inspection for the bid. Barry is the owner of Chickie's Chimneys, and his son Barry Jr. helps him with the installations. They climbed up on the roof and determined that our chimney had two kinks, and recommended getting the most flexible liner possible. They had the middle bid of around $1,800. They seemed more knowledgeable and friendly than the other chimney specialist who inspected the chimney and gave us a lower bid. Pinning them down for a time to do the job was tricky. Barry only checks and returns phone calls early in the AM and late at night. Finally we scheduled a time. They arrived and installed the chimney liner within 4 hours. They used a wire brush to clean out the chimney before inserting the liner, which they said would make it easier to put it through. If the liner got stuck they were prepared to knock a whole in the exterior brick wall to move the liner around the obstruction. This would have added to the cost of the job. Fortunately, the liner got past the kinks. I climbed on the roof and inspected their work. It was all done very neatly, and they took care not to damage the exterior of the house (gutters with the ladders) or the rubber roof tiles. After they had cleaned up, I paid for the job with a personal check. Our furnace and chimney work fine now.
