What an awful experience with Brandywine HVAC out of Lincoln University PA. Bought the high end Luxaire ultra high efficiency heat pump with propane backup. Within a few months the outdoor unit ate itself requiring a new fan, fan motor and guard. Then they didn't have the system configured correctly so the propane backup wasn't set to come on where it should and the heat pump couldn't keep up. Then in the summer the unit stopped blowing cold air. Turns out the outdoor unit compressor was defective. They came and replaced it then sent me a bill for almost $1000. Seemed like nice enough guys but then when I got home Tuesday night the system was "Stuck" and just blowing cold air. I spoke to them, they said turn on the emergency heat, ie the propane. It's been four days and not a single word from them. I text them tonight and said *** at which point I was told the distributor hasn't called them back. Then I got a nasty phone call that they "don't owe me anything". Unbelievable. I even recommended these guys to friends and contractors. They were recommended to me by a good friend also. Won't say I haven't been treated this badly by a contractor before but this certainly ranks right up there as a top five.
Description of Work: Install new hvac system, replacing an oil fired boiler. Installed new ductwork and high efficiency luxaire heat pump with propane backup.
