Sad to provide this review, as I could not speak highly enough of Dr. Loving, Dr. Cromby, and Dr. Leininger. Dr. Cromby has been a Vet for family members for many years, and was very caring. Dr. Loving has been there for some of my hardest moments in life when I had to say Good Bye to loved pets. Recently, we had a dog come into our yard repeatedly and bite our dog. Our dog is up to date on all shots and was securely resting in our yard. The other dog had no tags, and the owner could not be found at that time. We had our dog checked out by the emergency Vet, as Lewisburg Veterinary Hospital was closed. We were advised, as I understood it, that the protocol for scenarios when the other dogs shots status is unknown or not up to date is to have an initial shot, along with 2 additional booster shots. While in the process of attempting to gather the documentation necessary from Lewisburg Veterinary Hospital, for the police, we encountered mixed messages from the team at Lewisburg Veterinary Hospital. The staff had promised to have the information available and stated that they were following all procedures and protocol for the situation. Unfortunately, rather the the information being provided as promised, we were met with a differing message by Dr. Lindsay Huepenbecker. She stated the booster shots were not necessary. Unfortunately, she could not provide sound reasoning other than to say that it was only necessary if the other dog had Rabies. I asked her how I would know if they had Rabies as they are not my dog. She asked me if they were quarantined. I asked her how I was to know that? When asked why the Emergency Vet and the other staff at Lewisburg Vet Hospital did not agree with her, her response was that she could not speak for the Emergency Vet, and that the other staff was just a receptionist. I have never trusted Dr. Lindsay Huepenbecker, and had requested not to deal with her in the past, as she was clearly uncomfortable with our dog in the past. So hearing contradicting information from her was not reassuring. I asked to speak to another Vet. During my conversation with Dr. Lindsay Huepenbecker, she referenced the incorrect file and apologized that she was looking at someone else's file. I take full ownership that I was not a pleasant person to Dr. Lindsay Huepenbecker, and referenced her to access my file, and see that we had clearly requested not to deal with her. She promised me that she would have Dr. Crombie call me, but probably not that evening. I never received a phone call, but did receive a certified letter that Lewisburg Vet and Mifflinburg Vet will no longer treat any of our pets for general or emergency care. I realize that they are a business, and can choose to no longer do business with someone. What upsets me most, is that they still never addressed the situation to provide me with information that is necessary for my dog. This is no fault of my dog.

LVH has been absolutely wonderful from the front desk, to the staff, techs and doctors. Owning several elderly pets, LVH took my pet family on at a crucial time in their lives. We initially came on board with LVH in the midst of late stage abdominal cancer with my 14 year old cat. They were tremendously compassionate, and did absolutely everything they could to afford my cat with quality of life in his final months. We have since added a 14-16 year old rescued tea cup poodle to the pet family mix, who was in dire straits when we rescued him. LVH again was phenomenal. We thought that we were simply providing the little guy with a hospice for a month or two ... thanks to LVH's care and compassion ... we are happy to report that he has been a thriving member of the family for the past 6 months. We began with LVH on the recommendation of a co-worker - we have not been disappointed!

I arrived at the veterinary hospital for a scheduled visit. They were able to schedule me the day prior. Unfortunately, an unexpected problem cropped up- a puppy needed xrays and I wasn't helped for an house and a half. Once I was helped, though, the doctor was excellent. I asked for a reduced price due to the long wait and they removed the entire cost of the visit minus the low price of pharmaceuticals.
