J.R.'s was very responsive from the beginning with a timely quote. Heather was most helpful in answering my many questions. The crew was great! This was the final stage in a major project to correct a drainage problem at the front of the residence. To correct a rain water runoff problem, the entire lot surrounding the driveway had to be regraded, including constructing an underground drainage system and raising cement paving that runs parallel to the front of the house six inches above the original paved area. J.R.'s Driveway Service had to engineer the new driveway surface to ensure that water runoff would run into the areas serviced by the new underground drainage system - not an easy feat. However, three weeks after the installation of the new driveway and through several heavy spring rains, the new driveway has proved to be absolutely faultless in dispersing runoff!

JR’s Driveway Service repaved our existing driveway - approximately 2,600 sf. Their job estimate/proposal was professional and one of the lowest proposals we had received. Not to mention, their proposal included laying down a scratch coat (to level the driveway back out) prior to the final paving. The finished work looks better than the driveway looked when new! 1st Time I saw JR's Drieway service was at a neighbors. He recommended them. JR and his crew were great to work with for the removal of the old driveway. They also removed 3 tree stumps along the old driveway. When they returned the next day they insalled an amazing new asphalt driveway. The whoe crew was nice and professional. The finished product was smooth and looked great.

Excellent, From the initial contact, John provided ideas and suggestions for the best results. Fully explained the process, offered options and costs. Due to the crappy weather, there were a couple delays, but was kept advised, and really the delay was not excessive. They arrived at the set time, the crew was professional and knew what they were doing. It was efficient and moved quickly. Actually they finished sooner than I thought it would take. Clean-up was excellent. other than a new driveway you could not tell the difference. I would heartily recommend them to anyone. Thanks Guys

We had our driveway widened and resurfaced and JR's Driveway Service is an excellent example of a local business that’s aware of the level of service they perform. JR and his crew did a superb job on our driveway and added a great deal of additional curb appeal to our property as a result. Every member of JR's team was professional, courteous and laser-focused on getting the job done right. The amount of work that went into the prepping of the area was very thorough, which in turn made the laying out of the new asphalt that much more precise and neat. We continue to find very reputable contractors on Angie's List and JR's Driveway Service is no exception. Angie's List has become our primary go-to source to find dependable and reliable contractors when a job is too big for these DIYers or beyond our skill set.

We had asked JR's to provide us with a quote to have our driveway repaired. We had some work done on our house and the contractor subcontracted out the excavation and the excavator damaged our blacktop driveway that was just installed 2 years ago. I spoke with this company and they came by to meet with us to look at what we needed. We were to have an estimate shortly after they came to the house. After not hearing anything on Friday after they came to our house on Monday, I called and left a message. No call was returned just an email saying that I needed to talk to our contractor about it. I replied via email indicating that we had talked to our contractor and asked again if they were not going to provide us with an estimate. I never received a response to that email. Funny, when I originally spoke to this company they asked me who our contractor was, so I'm assuming they ended up knowing each other in some way shape or form so they decided to back out. Shame on you as all we asked for was an honest opinion/recommendation on the best solution for fixing our driveway. This company wasn't willing to do so.

We personally, and professionally, have no knowledge of the excavating contractor that damaged your driveway. JR's recommendation to the homeowner was to work with the excavator and allow him to consult with his own 'driveway' contractor, to resolve the matter. We felt this was the best course of action for the homeowner. In closing, we do apologize again that we did not communicate our reasoning to you clearly. Thank you for your understanding."

The work went well. The crew arrived about 10 minutes before schedule and had all the equipment and personnel to complete the job. They took care and cut carefully, an extra thick portion of concrete at the top of my driveway and straightened the right side of the driveway that was slightly crooked (thanks Joe). The concrete was hauled away and the sight cleaned before I knew it. Great Job!

The owner was the least expensive of three estimates I received. Company representatives returned all of my phone calls promptly. They worked with me to schedule a day to do the work. They arrived on time and finished early. They did a great job of paving up to and around obstacles like sidewalks and garage doors. The driveway looks so much better now. If I had another driveway to do, I would give them the work.

After taking several bids, and doing a fair amount of research we decided to go with JR's for our new driveway and we are very glad we did. Of all the companies we interviewed Joe (JR'S) seemed to not only have a commanding knowledge of his product, but his happy demeanor and professional courtesy gave him an additional edge his competitors couldn't match. Perfectly! Communication with Heather and J.R. was easy and professional. The crew showed up at exactly the specified time and the driveway looks beautiful! The price was very reasonable....a little higher than two other estimates but much lower than a third estimate. Joe came out early this spring to speak with us on getting our stone driveway paved. We had 6 other contractors out to give us quotes on how much the job would cost. Joe was very attentive and paid attention to detail on what we wanted and wrote everything down. He explained in great detail what the process would be and how he would do it. We felt that he would respect our property during our first visit with him. We knew we were going to hire him, but wanted other quotes. In the end we ended up paying a bit more for his service due to his attentive to detail, the job process and enthusiasm on the job, plus being local. I couldn't be happier with our new driveway. My husband said during the process Joe was asking questions or informing him of things that he wouldn't have known or thought to ask. My husband also informed me that he was very detailed oriented with going around our drain pipes and around our rock wall we have. When I got home after the job was done I was speechless on how well and beautiful it was done. It looks fantastic, better then what I was expecting. We are very happy with Joe and his crew and had no issues what so ever. Would hire immediately if we needed too.

Our old driveway was showing signs of aging and their was a sunken spot where water had damaged the asphalt. I thought about spot repairing and caulking gaps myself. However, thinking long term, that would be a temporary fix.
One day I saw J R's truck in the neighborhood, flagged down John the estimator and asked for an estimate. We discussed various solutions and after some thought, I wanted an estimate to replace the whole thing properly. The asphalt is about 27 x 15 ft.

I felt the estimate was fair considering the work involved, the number of men and equipment and the cost for materials. So we scheduled a few weeks out, then Heather gave me a date and by golly they were there. These guys have the right equipment and experienced, professional workers. The old driveway was removed, edges laid out and stone bed checked and graded properly. The waste was loaded in a good size dump truck, hauled away and the guys did a fine job cleaning up.
The next day they prepared for new asphalt and had a bunch of nice motorized equipment. Screeder, (like you see on the highways to lay the asphalt, only driveway sized), rollers, tamper, two dump trucks with material. I think there were a total of 6 guys with J R and his brother.
They did an excellent job laying the asphalt base, then the top coat and rolling everything well. I would say the workmanship is excellent with tight seams at concrete and edges smoothed nicely. Clean up was quick and thorough. They were done by noon.
All in all, I'm very happy with the job and would highly recommend J R's Driveway to my neighbors.

driveway looks good, my lawn on the other hand looks like garbage, they parked
there dump truck with the trailer on it and left deep tire ruts. I called them
at least a dozen or so times to speak to someone and explain the problem and
have them come out and repair the damage. I guess my check cleared because no
one returns a call. They say you get a two year warranty GOOD LUCK on having
them repair it.
