The screened-in covered porch attached to the back of my house had shown signs of leaking for awhile. This February, however, there were several storms that brought with them high winds and heavy rain. My porch?s small leaks became greater in number and magnitude.    Jim, from W.J.C. Construction Services, came over that same day and assessed the damage to the porch roof. He gave me quotes to either  1. just repair and replace the leaking  shingles, or 2. replace the entire porch roof. He explained the first choice would stop the leaks where they were visible, but that it might not correct the cause of the leaking. Choice #2 was to replace the entire roof.     I considered both options and chose to have him replace the entire roof. I am very glad I did. As he worked taking the old shingles off, he saw that the original roofing on the porch was not up to code. Had I chosen to have him just reshingle the original leaking ares, I would still be left with a roof that would leak again.    

I posted on line asking for estimates for a pergola and shortly thereafter i received an email from Jim. I continued to ask him questions till after 9 on a Saturday night, which he answered quickly with knowledgeable info and helpful suggestions. If this interaction is anything like his work, he must be a 10+ on a job. Not often do you run across a guy who has all the attributes of a fine gentlemen. Needless to say, I was impressed. I say drop him an email if you are looking for great communication skills.

Very professional and did a good job

WJC painted both apartments in my duplex. I am very happy with the results. They have also done various handyman jobs throughout the property. Jim is honest, personable, and professional. He shows up when he says he will. His prices are fair.

Jim installed from scratch a closet for my wife and i that we needed for our upcoming baby it went smooth he built it in a day and finished the spackle and painting in a day and looks great!

We had an issue with the siding and jim noticed we didnt have underlayment on the entire house so he gave us a few options to make it easier which we really loved but we went with the full job! He was prompt, honest, and had very fair prices with a warranty!! Ill be calling him again soon for any other issues that come up!

Jim was a true professional, was very direct and honest about everything regarding the shed build that I needed. The shed came out beautiful and he built it completely from scratch. Jim listened to what was wanted and needed, he showed up on time, was very communicative and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend for shed projects or any handyman projects in general. I will definitely be using him for future projects!

Quick response time to get estimate. Promised to fix roof leak in a couple weeks. However he had a cancellation and did the work 4 days after estimate. Work was done well. Good communication and friendly professional service

Jim repaired my backyard fence. He did a very nice job and cleaned everything up when he left. Jim was able to do the job quickly and with a fair price. I would highly recommend him.

Honest, prompt, quality workmanship, good communication. Did a roof repair around chimney. Gave me an estimate which I accepted. Upon doing the work, Jim said it was less extensive than what he thought it might be. Cut the estimated price almost in half. That is honesty. Highly recommend WJC Construction for a variety of home repairs.

I hired Jim to do a number of projects around the house including painting, installing a vanity/faucet in the bathroom, caulking kitchen counter area, installing bi-fold doors, installing a new door lock,. This is the second time I have hired Jim within a short period of time. He is pleasant to work with, does excellent work and is always on time. Importantly, he always asks if I am satisfied with his work. I would recommend him for any type of work around the house.

After researching for a company to do a small paint job for over a year, we are thankful we came across WJC. Very responsive and did quality work. Pricing was reasonable and we are even looking to use them on a few other possible jobs around the house. It truly is a struggle to find honest workers and I am glad we came across them.
