"This person did not cancel with our company, we told him we did not wish to do his work. We are actually doing his neighbor's fence and gave them both a discount to do at the same time Both homeowners said they wanted to go forward with the work and due to the Covid virus, we scheduled times to call them to fill out the contract over the phone rather then in person. When we phoned him over a week ago at the scheduled time, he said he wasn't ready to go forward after all, that he didn't like the style fence his neighbor picked out and that we were too expensive When I tried to explain that his neighbor had already changed the style to make him happy he said he had to talk to him first. Once it got straightened out we had to reschedule the phone appointment It is true the second time we were scheduled to do the appointment, we were running 15 minutes late, due to the call before him taking longer then we expected (which we do explain can happen when setting up the appointment) Apparently that 15 minutes of his time was very valuable, yet the original call he was scheduled for (which took up a spot we could have used for someone else) didn't matter to him, and our time is apparently not valuable, as he never called to cancel or postpone. When he called in to see why we hadn't called, he was screaming at the employees. The employee explained she had just walked in which is why no one had called to tell him we were running late and the owner was still on the phone with the appointment before him. We apologized several times but he continued to berate our employee, the owner could hear him screaming so when he was done his call he informed the homeowner that we were no longer interested in doing his job, thanked him and hung up The homeowner called back and the owner explained we don't want to do business with someone who treats us like this All of our employees are working overtime and are overwhelmed and stressed due to being shortstaffed from the virus, they do not need to take his abuse"
