Steve (owner) was very responsive and helped us fulfill our design ideas. He listened to what we wanted and provided several options (professional drawings) to meet our budgetary needs. He worked hard and was always there to work. No time off for days on end like we heard about many other general contractors. Always professional and overall trustworthy. Couldn't be happier with the results!

I wanted to update our den because the condition of the room was very dated. The walls of the room were covered by very dark wood paneling. I wanted to make the room lighter and more inviting and get rid of the 70's look. I contacted a few general contractors about giving me an estimate for the job. I basically needed someone to come in, remove the paneling and prep the walls for paint. I'm a pretty good do-it-yourself-er but removing the paneling and re-doing the drywall in the room was a bit more than I wanted to tackle. I was also considering adding some ceiling "bullet style" lights. I do not do anything electrical. I leave that to the professionals. Once the paneling was removed, the room re-drywalled and spackled and the lights installed I would be able to finish off the room myself. After some lackluster interviews with a few local guys I started to get a little discouraged. It seemed like such a simple job request to me. One guy seemed to want to push me into having him do the whole job start to finish. That's not what I wanted and he did not seem to get the message. Another contractor made me feel like I was wasting his time. A friend gave me a business card and said "give this guy a call, I think he will be able to help you do exactly what you want". I called the number on the card and left a message. I was quickly contacted by the owner Steven to set up an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. Steven was polite and punctual. Without wasting any time he asked me exactly what I wanted. After listening fully to my explanation of what I wanted without interrupting and examining the room he said "this will no problem". All I had to do was prep the room for him by moving any of the furniture that could not be moved out of the room into the center and cover it. Mr. Lorenti would take care of the rest. I was mostly concerned about the removal of the paneling and I was not sure what we would find underneath or how messy the removal could get. Steve knew exactly what to do and he immediately put my mind at ease. He found a seam on the paneling in an inconspicuous location in the room and gave it a tug. He pulled out a box cutter style knife and scribed the surface of the paneling in a small area around where he pulled the seam. The paneling came right away from the wall and snapped a small rectangle off right where he scribed it. "This will be a piece of cake". The paneling was only nailed on, not glued. Underneath the paneling the wall was already dry-walled. After pulling the paneling a little further he could see that the dry wall was in good shape. All he would have to do after the paneling was removed was to "tape and mud" the wall, sand it to smooth it out and it would be ready for prime and paint. The ceiling lights went equally as well. He even made some suggestions on the lighting based on other jobs he had done on other rooms that were around the same size. I was originally going to do 4 equally spaced out lights in the room. Steve suggested I use 6 because he felt that only 4 lights would not give me the desired lighting I was expecting and that six lights would give me more flexibility for what I was going to use the room for. If I used 4 lights I would have to have the lights turned all the way up most of the time. 6 lights would not have to work as hard as 4. Steve was right, 6 lights was the way to go. When all was said and done, calling Lorenti Brothers was the best move I could have made. Steve was very knowledgeable and he worked very neatly respecting my property as if it were his own. When I had the opportunity to watch him work, the methods or steps he took to complete the tasks at hand seemed to "flow" as if he planned his moves so as not to waste time or energy. It was obvious that he worked methodically and had alot of experience doing contracting work. I now have a den that I can be proud of and it turned out exactly how I wanted it. I sit in this den and it really makes me feel comfortable and I can't begin to express how really happy I am with the results. I attribute that satisfaction to hiring Lorenti Brothers General Contracting. I highly recommend Lorenti Brothers. Hire this guy, you won't be sorry.
