I contacted John a couple of weeks ago and we came out the next day to give us a quote which after reviewing the quotes we had received was the most competitive.
We were able to easily schedule the work for a time that was convenient for us and worked within our schedule for other work we had to do on our yard.
John and his team arrived promptly on time to begin the work and finished up in the timeline that he had estimated. Both rows of hedges were removed and all of the roots were removed as requested to clear out the perimeter of our property. For the two large trees that were removed one was growing right up against a wood fence. The team took down the fence before cutting down the tree and grinding out the stump and then put it back up when they were completed to avoid damaging it. Following the work the yard was thoroughly cleaned up to remove all debris.
Overall we were highly satisfied with the service provided and would highly recommend John's Tree Service to anyone looking to have tree work done.
Due to the location of the tree a crane could not be used to assist in the removal so instead John and his crew used a system of ropes and pulleys to lower the wood to the ground after it was cut. The tree stood at least two or maybe even three times the height of my two story house and was located in very close proximity to it. At least a third of it hung over the roof so one of my concerns was potential damage to the structure as the work was taking place but when all was said and done the tree was down, the wood was gone, the stump had been grinded, the yard (mine and my neighbor?s) was cleaned up and the house was untouched!
John was also careful about scheduling the work around the weather in the days leading up to the maintenance. He made sure that the ground had enough time to dry out from any rain (I had this work done in April) we had in prior days so that there would be as little wear to the lawn as possible.
I had a very pleasant experience with John Pond and would highly recommend him to anyone.
Some of the quotes we received were shockingly high and frankly, just not what we were willing to pay.
John told us what a job like this would normally cost and took about $200 off of that fee.
John was a pleasure to deal with. Our trees look great, they worked quickly and they left our properly clean and the money we saved can now go towards our next home project.
We are very happy and we would highly recommend John to anyone that needs tree work!
