My experience with them was fine and I would use them again in the future.

Orginal service was excellent, however Farm and Home are now part of the larger Suburban Propane and the service is very disappointing. We use for propane fireplace we were put on "Auto delivery" however there is nothing "auto" about it. Have made numerous calls to Suburan Propane and have been waiting over 4 weeks for a delivery of Propane. Was told a ticket was on file, was also told a manager would call me and I was a vaued customer however have heard nothing.

The company was great to work with. Scheduling was a little quirky, but once they got here, everything was installed and ready to go in a day and a half.

Installation was well done but we had to put up with a very unprofessional and unpleasant lead installer.

Farm & Home Energy was set up before we moved into our home and there wasn't really an option for us. We spend way too much for their services and I would tell people to do their research first if they have the ability to and read the fine print of your contract and look at as many vendors as you could. In the State of Pennsylvania you can't just go to an oil company like you can go to get gas for your car. When you have an oil company in this state you actually have to purchase the tank that goes in the ground for the oil and so it's very difficult to go and change companies. If I wanted to change companies they would actually have to come out and would have to dig up the tank in my front yard and the other company would then come and install a new tank. The regulations in the State of Pennsylvania are very different and is not something selective, like I can't go to another company and tell them I want them to do my oil for now on, and whatever that contract is you're kind of stuck with unless you want them to dig up your tank. I don't know if that's the same in other states, but I do know that in the State of Pennsylvania that is how it works and it's not an easy thing to fix. If I had the opportunity I would not use them.

I am satisfied with their services. I would use them again.

We have been using them about 15 years, and they have been terrific.

I spoke with Lynn on Friday December 30 regarding fuel delivery receive that same day.  She advised me that you would contact me via my cell phone, as of today I have not heard from anyone.   Last year we switch our heat from propane to electric, thus no longer needing propane, except for our stove.  I believed my husband Harold called last July, about how to remove the tanks. I am not sure how the conversation ended.  Therefore, I called on September 29, 2011 to find out the status of removing the tank(s). It was explained to me that since the tank(s) are more than likely full, it would be most cost effective to use the remaining fuel, before removing.  She also indicated that so would put us on ‘stop delivery’.   On Friday, I received a bill on my door, indicating that the tank(s) had been filled.  I called and spoke with Lynn and she explained that the ‘stop delivery’ was lifted on 12/15/11.  I have NO idea why the ‘stop delivery’ was not lifted nor do I care.  I do know that my conversation with your customer service representative in September was to STOP ALL DELIVERY’S.   Now I have a bill for $111.98 not to mention the tank(s) are full.  I do not believe I should pay this bill, more importantly now we have FULL tank(s), so it will take even longer to use the fuel to get these removed!!  After sending this email to Lynn supervisor, Lynn finally called me back.  The first words out of her mouth, 'so you want us to remove the tanks',  I reiterated my initial request to adjust the bill.  I requested to speak with her supervisor Chris and she would not transfer me and indicated that SHE would adjust bill.   After requesting three times, how long that would take, she said I should receive something in writing within 7 day.  So we will see what happens 1/12/12.

The servicemen that have been out have been great. The company is well established and they are a really reliable company. They provide excellent service.
