Paid 1/3 on February 12 2013 and I purchased all the materials needed for the job, and gave him our schedule for May and June so my husband and I could help to keep cost down. We agreed the work would begin when the weather allowed and that he would do it between other jobs that were lined up. The weather broke in early April, early May he asked for more money because something came up that he needed to take care of, and there wasn't even 1/4 the work done.I gave him another check for 1/3 of the job. Then at the end of August he had helpers to help him and he did not pay them, they were approaching me and telling me that he did not pay them and that they will not work for him again. He only worked on the project 3 or 4 hours a day at the most and maybe 1 or two days every 2 weeks or so. He would say he would be her to do work and never show up sometimes for weeks.Now it is Mid September and there is still about 1/4 of the work to complete. This is with my husband and I putting most of the windows in of (12)total and helping to prep for T111 and moving windows around. He has started other jobs and has other helpers doing these jobs and not paying the even after he has started our job. He is telling his help that he is getting more money off of us to pay them. He will not get anymore money off us until the work is complete and I am satisfied.He was given enough money to pay his help as he did not have to purchase any materials. I thought I could trust him because he was an acquaintance.The home is an attached house and only has 3 and 1/4 sides.
