They were a little pricy but it was worth it. They did everything perfectly and I am very pleased with their work. I would highly recommend them.

Well - awesome - of course.
Patrick Brewer acted as the General Contractor for this project.  They coordinated the actions of:
* Carpenter
* Plumber
* Flooring guy
* Dry wall guy
* Electrician
* Painter
The quote was well written, and complete.
The schedule was followed to +/-  0.5 days, and completed on schedule.
ALL (*) the workers and sub-contractors were prepared, arrived on time, and polite.
We highly recommend to others to give Patrick Brewer the opportunity to quote similar projects.
(*) There was a minor problem with one worker from one sub-contractor.  When notified, Brewer dealt with the issue to our satisfaction.

Patrick Brewer Carpentry was recommend by a co worker who knew of him. I called for an estimate and the gal in the office gave me a time and date. Mr.. Brewer was on time to assessed the job, and I received a written estimate in the mail with in a few days for $4300.00. If I was OK with the price, he requested I send him a $1000.00 deposit. Which I did.
We set a time for the work to be done the third week of Aug. 2012. I called his office to confirm the date and time a few days before the work was to start, and I was told the start date was pushed back a week. I agreed to the new time and start date, now the forth week of Aug. The job was started on that date. The workers were polite and courteous, arrived on time each day, and worked until about 4:30 pm. I had to work the day the roof went on, so I can not comment on that. So far, so good.
How ever, the paneling used on the inside was super thin, and probably the least expensive you could purchase, other than white. This was an Oak, a very common color. I told my wife I would mention it to Mr. Brewer the next day, But he would probably tell me it was the only one that matched the existing paneling color. When I called him, that was exactly what he said. So I let it go. I figured these guys are professionals. It should look good when they are done.
Now, I have like a chair rail, about three feet from the floor that is paneled. Above that is drywall. This runs about 24 feet long, with six windows. The worker asked me if I would like the paneling to go to the ceiling. I thought that would look nice, so I said sure. So they paneled up to the ceiling on four windows, and left two windows with a three foot chair rail and drywall. This is on one wall 24 feet long? I asked the worker, and quot;If this was your house, would you be happy with the way this looks?and quot; He said, no. I asked him to finished the last two windows with paneling, and they complied. The matching strips they used to cover the seams they had to piece, were above the top of one window line, below the next window line, the next one, even with the window line. Above each window there is about a 6 inch piece of paneling that has to fit under a wood border. 19 feet of the 24 foot length of the room were fine. The last 5 feet had a gap of about 1/8 inch to 3/4 of an inch. It jumped right out at you, because you could see the wall paint, the last 5 feet. I called Mr. Brewer the that night, and he said he would tell the workers to fix it, as they were coming back to finish up tomorrow. When the same worker arrived to finish the next day, I offered to show him some of my concerns. He said he knew what they were. I asked him about the 5 foot, 3/4 inch gap near the ceiling If it was your house, would you be happy with the way that looks? No, was his reply. Then I asked him why he didn't fix it yesterday when he did it? Did you think I wouldn't notice? No reply.
The only time I seen Mr.. Brewer was for the estimate, and about 5 minutes on the first day of work. He never came back to check on his workers. If he had checked, my issues would have been corrected sooner, I'm sure.
After the workers left the final day, I called Mr. Brewer and asked him to come and look at the finished job, and I would pay him the balance I owed. He came the next day and we went over some of the issues that were still there. He did offer to send the workers back and try to fix some of them, but at that point, I just wanted to get everything back to normal. I had 7 bird cages 3'x5' to put back in the bird room, that I had scattered through out the house. I did tell him if this was my living room, or family room, I would have let him come back and take care of it. I also told him I thought the job was over estimated. He disagreed. He said he paid his workers $56.00 an hour. I felt, if that was true, these workers should be the best carpenters in Pennsylvania. in my opinion,they definitely were not. Mr. Brewer and I agreed on a monetary adjustment of $300.00, which I accepted. That's about it.

They are really good. They originally finished our basement so it was a shame that there was damage from the flooding, but they came and did the repairs afterward.

They were awesome. I was referred to them by a friend. They are highly organized. They gave me an itinerary of everything that was going to be done each day for the 3 weeks that they were doing the job. Everything took place exactly as planned. If there was supposed to be an electrician here, he would be here. They consistently modified things when I asked them to. The workmanship was excellent! They knew how to problem solve very well. They gave an excellent value for the work that they did. They were a lot less expensive than other people that we spoke with. They were always here on time.

From day one to the last day (three weeks total), the carpenter, plumber and electrician provided excellent work. They were very attentive to the needs of my 85 year old mother. They threw some extra touches into the job as a matter of courtesy.
