LANDIS CONSTRUCTION

I was an employee for this company. I started in April 2011 and was "let go" from my position July 5th. The reason I was given was lack of work. Its not so much that I lost my job its how it was done. Let me tell you I was told by my supervisor he'd call me that evening(July 5th) to tell me "what was up". Well I was expecting a phone call at 7 or 8pm and didn't receive one. I was sent a TEXT message at 10pm saying "jobs got changed around and we don't need an extra guy right now." Thats how it was handled. So,no thought given to the fact I have a wife & mortgage and a household to run. The owner doesn't even handle conflict his wife or supervisor does the "dirty work". Also, while employed within a one week period the owner bounced 2 checks to 2 different companies. REAL professional. There was a customer who had a very nice outdoor entertainment area installed. The project was started in Nov 2010 & didn't get finished til 2 weeks ago, while other jobs were started and finished. I would not recommend this company. Before I started working for them,they appeared to be a reputable company....appearances can be deceiving.
