CORNWELL DOOR SVC

According to the internet, Cornwell Door Service was the nearest dealer of my brand of door opener (LiftMaster) and according to BBB, they had an A+ rating. So I called them and left a message (they were apparently closed on Saturday). First thing Monday morning, I received a call from Ray at Cornwell Door Service and explained my problem, and the fact that I needed to be gone by 10 a.m. He said, "No problem. I'll be there at 9 a.m." And he was. He had been doing this for 32 years and knew exactly what he was doing and wasted no time. He took apart the door opener, replaced the drive sprocket assembly, cleaned the interior mechanisms, adjusted the chain and the travel settings, and lubricated the rollers on both garage doors, and was finished before 10 a.m. Meanwhile, being inquisitive, I peppered him with questions and he good-naturedly took the time to explain things as he went along.

The installer did a very good job installing the door. The old door was removed and the new one was installed within four hours. However the door does not fit right. I believe that it is how the door is designed. The sides of the new door flat spots are very narrow as compared to the old removed door. This means that the side weather stripping does not seat correctly on the flat sides of the door. This also means that the installer had to push the weather stripping up against the sides of the door very close to try and get it to seal properly. On the last big rain the water got into the garage through the weather stripping. I was not at home when the job was completed otherwise I would have pointed this out. What has made me more frustrated with this company is that I have contacted them several times and they said that they are coming out to look at it and never show up. I need to get the other door replaced. I will not be using them again

Cornwell Door recently installed a 16 foot garage door. The installer was professional and prompt. He removed the old door and installed the new door in about 4 hours. I was not at home when the door installation was completed. I will not use Cornwell doors again for the following reasons. First of all the door does not fit correctly. The weather stripping on the sides of the door is not on the flat part of the door. The weather stripping is actually into the decorative part of the door. This means that the weather seal is not good and during rain storms water leaks through the day. I cannot wait until winter to see how much snow gets into my garage. I have called the company several times to get this looked at. They have made appointments to come and look at my concerns. No one has brother to come out to my home yet. I will need to get another Garage door replaced and it will not be from them.

It went just as I expected it would.  They come when they tell you they will be there and if there is a problem, which in this case their was a minor problem in that the key chain remote would not work properly.  They came to my home the next morning  (I was out at the time) and they left me with a new remote and closed the door behind them when they left.   
On another note, I am planning to replace my old wooden door in the near future and there is no doubt in my mind that I will be purchasing the door and the installation from Cornwell.
