BILL'S COMPUTER SUPPLIES

The first time we took it back, he reset everything and we could again connect to internet, email, etc. We continued to have problems and took it back again. He refused to do anything and/or to replace the computer saying he'd be out the $500.00. We called the computer manufacturers and discovered he was not an authorized dealer - probably why he wouldn't spend any time on trying to find out what the problem was. We sent it back to the manufacturers service center - it turned out to be a software problem which the technician said he has seen in a number of these Thinkpad laptops. Someone who works on and sales computers, like Bill, should have been able to figure this out. All in all our $500.00 laptop ended up costing us $645.50 plus numerous hours of frustration, spending hours on the phone with our internet technicians to try to solve our connection problem, and numerous phone calls to persons we know who know more about computers than we do. Yes, part of the problem is the computer manufacturers, and I will write a letter of complaint to them, but Bill refused to help us, his take was that we were the problem. After having been a customer of Bill's Computer Supplies for 10 years, we regret that we will not buy another item from him nor use him for repairs nor recommend him to anyone.
